Bender vs Maker vs Zhou Qi

All three share similaritie .  Tall, some sf skills, mobility , unknowns

What is your rank? 

In your opiniom, who has the best physical tools? Explosiveness? Skills?Defensive skills?  Upside?

If Danny picks Bender 3rd, why not  just close our eyes completely and try to hit at least one out of the park.  And take Maker at 16, Zhou Qi at 23 also

What are the chances all three become busts.  And one could turn out to be special

small point. zhou qi's family name is zhou. qui is his given name.

Bender because he has many tools to be successful in the NBA. I had previously been down on him but I think the appeal in him is that he can be a jack of many trades. At worst, he will be a good shooter and a good passer and solid in transition. At best: a taller, thinner Draymond Green?

Maker also has great potential, though I guess I'm still riding his stock based on the hype he has.

Qi I like as a stash. Could amount to nothing. But could also be something nice in the future. I'd rather just go with him at 23 and hope it's a hit.

They'll all be busts IMO. 100%.

Maker has NO chance at being a player.

I am all for wasting those 2nd rounders on draft and stash guys, but I'd rather get college players w the 1st rounders.

-All 3 have excellent tools with good size/mobility, but I'll take Bender by a hair. Qi is the longest, Maker is the best leaper, Bender is the most fluid/coordinated. I like Bender best because Qi is worrisomely skinny at age 20, and Maker has bad hands, which can be very problematic for a big man.
-Bender is the best shooter of the three. Not clear if Maker and Qi have range to the NBA 3pt line.
-Biggest difference is in terms of feel for the game. Bender clearly has great feel, at a young age. Qi seems to have decent feel, but it's hard to tell in the super-weak CBA, and he's also the oldest. Maker clearly has terrible feel, doesn't know how to play basketball at all. But he's pretty young, so he has time to catch up.

Overall, I'd say a small edge for Bender in tools, a medium edge in shooting and a big edge in feel add up to a gigantic gap overall between Bender and Qi/Maker. I could see an argument for Maker over Qi, but I'd take Qi unless Maker has a monster workout.

1. Bender for all of the reasons listed above.

2. Maker. He seems to have alot of the physical tools to succeed at the next level, can shoot decently well, and he's a freak athlete. Although he is skinny, and doesn't have a great feel for the game, he is an ultra competitor. He seems to have that fire in his belly that comes through in any interview he gives. He also looks to have bulked up a bit in recent videos.

3. Zhou - who knows. Just seems like another tall rail thing kid who can shoot and dominate far inferior opponents. He will utterly get destroyed at the next level. Pass

High bust potential for all 3.  Poeltl, Ellenson, Davis, Chriss, Sabonis... We don't really have to settle for one of these guys.

1. Bender

2. Maker - questionable as to why we chose to not play college for 1 year. Possible that he was scared of the competition he would face in college. He didn't play 5 on 5 at draft combine which may hint to this or him just being a project needing yo develop his game. Though he did test well physically.

3. Qi - stats are pretty average despite size and playing in Chinese league. Should have been able to dominate.
