  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If the Warriors can win this 4-1 it will be great for us.
To me this sounds like a guy who is angry that they can't beat the Warriors.
The Warriors are better but if Durant needs an excuse to leave OKC that's just fine with me.

It's funny because Durant isn't known fforhis exemplary shot selection either-he just makes very, very tough shots.

Stay angry Kevin, blame it on your team/organization!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

It's definitely possible, but I see the Thunder taking at least one at home. I think the Warriors win it in six. Game 1 was the kick in the arse they needed to take this team seriously. It's also the reason why I think both OKC and GS would put a whooping on Cleveland in game 1 after not being challenged at all in the East.

Curry's shots would be bad if he was Durant. Durant is a great shooter, but not in Curry's league. No one is in Curry's league as a shooter.

If a guy is efficient at a shot, it is a good shot. It doesn't matter where the shot is. It doesn't matter how many people defend him if he still shoots efficiently with that defense.

I really think that a few years ago, The Warriors had nothing to lose by letting Curry attempt any circus shot he wanted---Heck, Meadowlark Lemon used to throw in half-Court hook shots for the Harlem Globetrotters....NBA players would never insult their teammates by trying such ridiculous shots....This has somehow worked out for G.S.....because they also have a great shooter in Thompson.

It's very strange that Curry is taking and making these circus shots....I think it's because his shot has hardly any deviation from left to right, because he's shot-putting the ball---he only has to adjust for distance.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Its not a bad shot if you make it with consistency.

This is Curry's game.  He routinely makes shots that literally nobody else in the league should even take.

He's the best offensive weapon in the game right now and it's not close.
He takes shots that conventionally are stupid to take... but makes them at a high percentage.

In the wake of Michael Jordan, a lot of kids wanted to be him... and you'd have a lot of players taking horrible contested shots and not playing a team game.  Occasionally you'd have a player like Iverson or Kobe who would have some level of success playing ball hog, but countless players failed at trying to be that.   I'm sure young players everywhere are going to infuriate coaches with their ridiculous half-court bricks trying to imitate Steph Curry.

I think Charles Barkley summed it up pretty well when they were talking about Game 1: "when Golden State makes them, we call them 'spurts'. When they miss, we call them quick shots."

Honestly, a step back 3 with a defender on you is generally a bad shot. A pull up from 45 feet with a defender's hand up is generally a bad shot. Curry just has an uncanny ability to make those. But yeah, I'm with KD on this one. Curry sometimes has bad shot selection. He just has extraordinarily good shot making.

Right or wrong , Durant saying this stuf.. He's acting like a baby and is super jealous. It's like when he was crying about not being in the MVP talk enough during the playoffs. It's not the time for that crap, Kevin. He's surprised me with what an egomaniac he seems to be.

Durant seems to be doing a lot of talking lately.

For a guy who has been on stacked/elite teams his entire career and still hasn't won a title, I would suggest he should shut his pie hole and refrain from criticising a guy who has:

1) Just won a scoring title
2) Just led his team to the best regular season record in NBA history
3) Been the best player on a championship team

Durant has been talking way to much lately - if he wants to earn the right to criticise Curry, then he should win this series and come back with a ring.  Until then, he should shut his whiny girl-scout mouth.

Who cares if it's a bad shot if it goes in lol. Seems to me that KD is a bit jealous.

I saw a stat in the Spurs series.

It was in game 3. Westbrook had missed 53 shots through 3 games. Durant had TAKEN 55 through 3 games.

Westbrook has since done better, in terms of deferring to teammates and getting assists, but he still goes overboard a lot and the thunder go multiple possessions in a row without giving KD the ball. He is right to be p---ed about that.

In theory, you are right. But afaik KD and RW are so close that Westbrook is the last person Durant would blame.

Curry shot 45% on 3s this season on 11 attempts per game. That is completely bananas.

Those are bad shots for pretty much everyone else in the league. Not for him.
