I just hate the guy's attitude and work ethnic. Just doesn't seem to get it and sounds really content with just being a rotation player. Says CBS and him have disagreements about things. That doesn't surprise me considering he's so stubborn. I'm at the point where I don't want the guy back even on the OF.  ::) Listen yourself, but he definitely comes off as I'm going to do me and all nonchalant. Not sure he even realizes he was in a contract year or cares.

A lot of it was in past tense, makes me think he knows Boston doesn't want him back.

He killed me at the end.

On his conditioning, said he has no weight goal in mind.

On the end, he was asked about goals for himself, where he can see himself in a couple seasons or so.  He said he doesn't have goals because "he doesn't want to place limits on himself" and he wants to just keep doing him.  Funny way to think about goals.

They were also talking about his shot at one point and he said he struggled focusing on getting his feet behind the line for three and did better once he started stepping into his shot and not worrying about where his feet are.  I just don't think that seems that hard or smart of a thing to say.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. He's not goal orientated because he's not a determined player. How is someone else going to challenge him when he doesn't care to challenge himself?

Just not a good fit with this team.   He wants to "free flow" .  Not be restricted

He is not a bad guy just doesn't fit and should not be starting.  Yup he is gone.    Same with his friend Turner imo.

Sullinger.....

My take....

This his first FA season and he has no clue.

He has to thank Boston for believing in them.  And he wants to come back....

He also said he needs to go another level and has to find it.   You do have to take care of your body at this level and he did play 81 games.  He did that.   He did play as a team player.   He wants to play for Brad and would to love to come back.

He is almost there.  Sully has not found it.  He knows he has to be special, and hes not there yet.  But he can get there.  Everyone in the league has to be special to play the 4.

I like Sulley.  He is a gamer.   Undersized, sure.  Talented and over weight, sure.   Smart player and competitive.

I'd offer him a deal close to 4 year deal for 7 million a year.

Somebody with so many gifts when he was made ......just forgot to add the work ethic .....his head is kinda messed up.

Without basketball his fat lazy butt would be in a homeless shelter.

Sully had great potential until he gained all that weight. He got lazy. Bad pick but its hard to pick these guys out coming into the league. They think they can score a few baskets and get paid. He doesn't care if he does anything on another team. As long as he gets one more payday he will take that to the bank. Sully won't last in the NBA that's for sure

I more thought mannix sounded like the guy who had to go in that interview honestly.  It's not like mannix ever really gets it himself. Sully is alright.  At least he can rebound. Mannix can't do much of that.

Mannix had us trading for Omer Asik who has the least tradeable contract in the nba.  The guy is guaranteed like 44 mil over the next 4 years even still.  Great idea there bud.

He wasn't the only one. A lot of people on this forum wanted asik (including me). Now, it turned out to be a bad idea, but you can't say that it was Mannix only. A lot of us wanted him too.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

That's true.  I didn't think it was bad at the time.  I just had to knock mannix because he kind of came off like he was being a jerk there a bit. Sully isn't perfect but I've seen worse.  People act like he is the worst player ever.  He still has a good amount of potential.  I still think he has a use on this team as a starter playing lesser than minutes and as a utility bench player if he can ever adjust to that.  He's more versatile than people give him credit for.

I wouldn't pay Sully Asik money.  Depending on who we draft and who else is out there I could still see the Celtics offering a qualifying offer and trying to keep him though.

He doesn't demand minutes.  He isn't a guy like that overly or a bad clubhouse guy to my knowledge.

Is Sully really a  bad person?  Did he eat the last piece of cake?  Maybe. I agree he needs to get himself in shape.
