Who has the most upside  ?  To me it's bender . He won't have the strength or low post scoring ability as Okafor , but I see him as a much better defender , more skilled offensive player, better handle and passing/ play making ability, ability to stetch the floor and get his shot off against just about anyone .

I don't see Okafor as a good defensive player , he just doesn't have the agility to cover in the pick and roll , or ability to switch off onto guards/ wings .

At this point , I would rather keep the pick than trading it for Okafor .

Bender is an unknown and has yet to put up points against NBA players. Okafor has shown dominance in the NBA setting. This is easy. Okafor by a landslide

you could have said the same thing of Divac vs Kobe in 1996 ( not saying bender is kobe, but who knows? )

By the way , when exactly did  Okafor dominate? a 10 win team averaging 7 rebs .....

Now Bender is more skilled offensively than Okafor??  The guy has literally scored 15 points this year.  ALL YEAR.  TOTAL.

Bender 100 times out of 100. I totally agree with your points plus add good character which should not be understated. In all my younger years of drinking at night clubs, I never knocked someone out on the street like Okafor did in Boston. Hard to blame that on youth but not that hard to blame it on bad character.

The lakers scouts sounded very enamored with Bender as well. It would be interesting to see how Danny really feels about him. I have a strong feeling he is the prototypical Celtics player he dreams about and would no doubt excel under Stevens. I am excited by the prospect of seeing him Celtics Green.

A lot of votes for Bender, i'm suprised. I'm from europe and i tell you Bender is far from nba ready he is solid prospect but not a potential franchise player. He is not great defender or great scorer or great blocker. He is 7 footer who can run and that it's.

I think Okafor is bad fit for this fast paced basketball thar Celtics play and Bender wouldn't even get 10min if he is drafted by Cs.

So i wouldn't like either for the Cs now but Okafor is by far better player and has more potential than Bender

Idk enough about Bender to make a call on him. Based on the hype he is better.

I do like Bender, but I think if Okafor came out this year he would be in the mix for the top pick. Value wise I think Okafor is a better value than Bender
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Bender has the benefit of being virtually unknown so most persons are envisioning superstar potential. But because we've seen Okafor play a full season we know his flaws and strengths while people simply gloss over Bender's weaknesses with the good old "he's Young" argument (all puns intended)

I'm  not an Okafor fan but of the two I'd rather a known commodity who is also still young and learning.

Realistically though we can have both simply offer next year's pick and a sweetner

Okafor's strengths and flaws are exactly what people predicted a year ago and why I wasn't too enthusiastic about him.

Bender is Tyler Zeller.

Zeller can shoot 3's , handle the ball on the perimeter , has elite length for his position , was a predicted top 5 pick at the age of 18 , played against grown men from in a professional league as a teenager ?

What about 4 years down the line? Who will be the better player? Do you still think it's Okafor?
