for #4 and #13.

Looks like the Suns are craving Bender. Let them have him ... we get 4 and 13 and we draft

Buddy and Maker. Bender and Maker are pretty much the same player, no?

You can get Maker with 23. I'd probably see if Poeltl drops to 13, or maybe reach a tad early on Valentine.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

No. There are reasons why one is projected to go 3rd, the other is projected anywhere from 20-40

all the reason why you trade out of the 3 spot so a team that is not ready to win can go get Bender and we can pick up more assets to make that big move.

I thought about this myself, but it makes no sense. If the Celtics are willing to trade 1 spot down and give the Suns Bender, then they were not interested in drafting Bender in the first place, which makes trading up a moot point for the Suns. The only way a team would move up is if they are sold on Bender but scared of the Suns picking him, the earliest possible team that fits that criteria being the Timberwolves at #5.

(I actually think a trade with the Timberwolves could happen, possibly something centered around #5 plus Shabazz Muhammed, a decent role player off the bench, for #3. Maybe even the underutilized Bjelica, who is a solid passing/shooting big that could fill that Jerebko/Olynyk/Mirotic-type role if used correctly. Bender makes too much sense for them from a positional standpoint, especially if they are sold on Rubio and don't want Dunn.)

its the same thing dude.

If the Suns really want Bender they will trade for us just so we do not pick Bender for Timberwolves. You know?

We do not need more picks. This team doesnt need to add 4 1st round rookies to a squad with 4 very raw players already on it. Trade the pick for established talent or just take the best player available.

Yes.

And we might like him enough to take him #3, but possibly would be happier with Murray and the #13 (I know I would). Ainge is all about asset collection. He isn't going to make the same mistake Jordan did last year.

nothing wrong with getting a pick if it is used for a  trade and we can sure use a trade.

In the world of the NBA you dont trade a dollar bill for 4 quarters so that you can then try to trade two of the quarters for a 50 cent piece. You keep the dollar bill. You dont want pocket change

I agree with you, but the proposal in this case is not trading a dollar for four quarters. It is trading a dollar for a dollar and 2 quarters.

Only if you are of the opinion Bender is in the same tier as Murray and Hield, which he is not. He will be the better pro. Workouts will clear this up

If they're willing to make this deal, it's a no brainer.  I'd really like to get Hield or Murray, but at #4, you still get one and pick up the extra #13 pick?  That's insanely good, as with 13, 16, 23, 31 and 35, Danny might even be able to trade up again into the top ten picks.
