I haven't heard a direct quote from Kris Dunn or anyone associated with him to the effect that he doesn't want to be a Celtic.

Take some of these unsourced reports with a healthy dose of salt.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Woj said it. I'll trust his word
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I don't trust anyone's unsourced word as the gospel truth.  He could be right, but I'll wait until I learn more to write Kris Dunn off as a player who is 100% opposed to playing in Boston.

He says he doesn't want to, but he has said only good things about the Celts/CBS so far

Celtics I don't think will draft him to rot on the bench. So something will have to give

You will def have to get rid of 2 of Hunter, Rozier, young at min

Ab, IT
Smart, Dunn

If Danny wants Dunn he'll take him and sort out the other stuff after.

I don't blame Dunn for not wanting to be drafted by a heavy guarded team. He doesn't want to get lost in the mix. It would be better for him to go to a team that needs a guard. U wanna talk about premadonas look at Ben Simmons he wants LA to draft him so he can get a bigger sneaker deal. Now that's not a guy I'd want on my team.

  • That's turrible
I don't want Dunn on the Celtics. We have enough guards. I want him to be drafted by Minnesota. He'd be a perfect fit for that team and for Thibs' style of coaching.

I have to laugh at the denouncement of Dunn indicating he doesn't want to be drafted by the C's. Do you exercise your own judgment about what job offer and play of employment is best for you and your career? That's all he and his camp are doing, just with the draft NBA players don't get to pick their team so they have to use soft power to try and influence things. He doesn't want to come into a situation with a crowded backcourt, shocker!

FWIW if Ainge thinks he's the best player he will absolutely still pick him, Ainge gives zero thought to what agents think/leak/lean on him to do. Multiple people who are connected in the NBA have said so for years.

Yeah unless we're trading some of our existing guards Dunn doesn't make a ton of sense for us.

If you think he's the next CP3/Deron/Wall/etc. you take him anyways but you still have to balance out the roster with other moves. (and I don't think people view him as that sort of elite PG prospect but I'm not super into the draft up to this point so I don't know)

Well the same thing happened with Porzingas (sp) and the 76ers last year.  He didn't want to play with them, made it known behind the scenes, didn't provide physical information to them and so the 76ers didn't draft him.

Dunn has had some shoulder issues and his people aren't sending out medical information to some teams (the Celts and the Suns), he also supposedly is going to refuse to work out with these 2 teams individually.  This is all according to WOj and as any info this far in advance is subject to change.  If that's the case I don't want him on my team.  Currently, as a GM of a company if someone doesn't want to work for me I don't want him.  The #3 pick is an asset and if I can get great value for it I trade it unless there's someone else I like better.

Oh I completely understand not wanting to draft someone if you cannot get your doctors to examine his medical information. That's a pragmatic reason to handle the pick that way.

But the moralizing like this is silly:
Quote
What ever happened to the day of rookies playing where they are told and not announcing who should and should not draft them ahead of time? Bunch of primadonna's in this day and age. Either way screw this kid. Hopefully he rots in Philly, Phoenix or Denver lol.

We'll have to agree to disagree.
This is the NBA draft, these guys are set to make millions. Every team should have the same information on eligible draftees, in fact I feel it should be a REQUIREMENT that all teams receive the same information on any giving player. Guys shouldn't have the ability to hold medical records from any team solely because they don't want to play for them. How is that fair? If a player elects to withhold information from any team they should be deemed ineligible for the NBA draft.
Unlike the real world, I can pick and choose who I want to work for, I send my resume for jobs I'm interested in.. if I don't like a company I don't apply. This is the NBA, you play for who selects you, if you want a career where you select the company you work for out of college you should have went for a business degree and not for basketball.

Entitlement is the issue here, and its not a problem with Dunn. Exercising power you have, the horror! (Unless the C's or another NBA team does it....)

You are correct, he is exercising the power he has, and in return he will receive criticism. My criticism of him is that it's a primaddona move. You decide where you want to play as a free agent, until then deal with the cards that you are dealt with. If you don't like it go play in Europe or China out of college.

Right and your criticism is based on the eternal parochial entitlement of sports fans. Characterizing exerting agency over where your career will start is being a primaddona is a silly way to look at sports.

One that will leave you without players to root for, only villains who conspire to tear down the glorious collectives that are Teams.

https://theundefeated.com/features/the-puzzling-plummet-of-rgiii/ This article outlines some true primadonna stuff, Kris Dunn and his agent trying to avoid what they view as bad work situations isn't.
