DA is making all indications that a move has to be made and with the draft order falling in place certain teams that are rebuilding could really use that 3rd pick..

Philly - Okafor is all but gone, They could use Dunn or possibly Murray

Chicago - Butler can be had by all indications.. It would cost a few picks plus either Crowder or Bradley..

Kings - every year we hear Cousins but rumors are always shot but nevertheless they need to rebuild and if the Celtics makes a monster deal they may finally bite..

I think in the end Butler will make the most sense ...

How's everyone feel about Okafor?  I like Dunn and Murray better than Smart.  Would Philly do Smart and 16 for Okafor?

Takes two to tango. Other teams will ask for a lot more than the pick.

Well knowing Danny (offered 4 picks to move up to 10 last year) It might be a year where he has to overpay..

You don't overpay to trade a top 3 pick. Unless you're dying to get fleeced.

Well like I said in OP Celtics top two picks and a player for Butler may get it done... pricey but not fleeced.. I guess we will see..

I certainly think the odds of the pick getting moved exceed the odds of standing pat and actually using it.

It's just a troublesome spot because it'll really take paying through the nose to get a Cousins or Butler on this team.  I want no part of Okafor unless its some lowball offer (which is doubtful)

Okafor becomes available only if Embiid is cleared to play, and shows he can hold up. Until that happens, how could the Sixers even think of trading him? My guess is that he won't be moved until trade deadline mid next season.

I don't know - with Simmons starting at PF and Saric coming off the bench, they would really only need to find spot minutes at Center with Noel getting the bulk of the minutes. Having one of Okafor/Noel languish on the bench will certainly decrease their value. Wouldn't Dunn make a ton more sense for their team?

This isn't even taking into account that Embiid will likely be cleared to play.

I guess I missed that.

I'm pretty sure DA likely said something like, "Well, sure, we'd prefer a veteran player," which, in no way should be interpreted as "We're not prepared to pick and keep at #3."

Is that the same horse that has had 1 back fracture, 2 foot fractures, and 3 surgeries in just 2 years? All that "wear and tear" from only 647 minutes of playing time since 2013. If he is ready to go I wonder how long he'll last. How will he handle all the games and travel of NBA life?

If we could keep the #3 pick and give them the rest of our picks and Smart I'd do that in a heartbeat.
