What is Cheick Diallo on?

This guy must be on something lol.  He has crazy energy.  Enthusiastic player

He has some underrated skills too (right now only can make 15 ft jump shots).   From the post once he receives a pass , can really get a shot off quickly via baby hook or running hook.

Like Jerebko, just all over the place in the defensive end and has the energy/strength to prevent deep post catches

Now for the bad.  He has so so hands.  Like butter fingers, so don't expect him to easily catch balls in traffic in the offensive end.   Near non existent passing skills . 

His bread and butter in the nba will be in the defensive end, blocking shots, rebounding, pnr defense.   

Looks like the 2nd coming of Bismack Biyombo if you ask me

I would be delighted if he was available at 31 or 35 but I think he has done enough to go in the 1st round.  In all the nba combine competitive games , he has been one of the top 7 guys. 

Would you reach for him at 23?

I like Diallo, it seems that many of the major native African prospects recently has far out performed their draft slot eventually, but then that's the key... eventually. Bismac Biyombo for instance is starting to turn into a real player, only not for the team that drafted him. 

I'd worry that by the time Diallo develops he could either have fallen out of favor with our organization like Fab Melo or he priced himself out of Boston when a scrub team show's him a huge offer sheet. Not sure we'd be the right destination for him to reach his potential but that being said if we were to draft him I'd be psyched. Dude has a relentless motor.

I was a big fan of Diallo coming into the year and was really annoyed when Bill Self didn't play him.

The C's can use all the bigs with plus athleticism and length they can get.

He kind of reminds me of Mickey last year, not overly tall with great length, good shot blocking timing and solid quickness. Mickey was more skilled coming in, but I think Diallo is more active.

I doubt there will be a higher upside player available at 23, if we decide we want to go high upside at 23 he's a great pick.

 I second what Evan said. Loved him in before the college season began. Crazy motor, runs like a deer, quick off his feet, crazy long. Was super disappointed in his college season, but you shouldn't discount him for that.

Harrell is another comparison.    Diallo is quicker though.  Maybe not as strong.  A tiny bit taller
