Absurd that Ainge finished 6th. Buford I get as the winner but why on earth are those other guys getting votes over Danny?
Olshey had two players leave for max contacts elsewhere, and still put together a team that got the 5-seed out west, all while keeping amazing payroll flexibility and adding picks and young players.
Most of Myers work was done in prior seasons, but he did keep Draymond Green, and didn't screw up the amazing team he helped put together. I mean, you're the GM of the team with the best record ever -- you get major points for not screwing things up.
The Raptors had a great season, and Ujiri made some nice moves last June and July. He traded Greivis Vazquez for a future Clippers lottery-protected first (from Milwaukee) and a second. That second became Norman Powell, who is in running for the steal-of-the-draft, having given good minutes as a rookie despite being picked #46. He made some good free agent signings of Carroll and Cory Joseph. And he extended Valunciunas at about 70% of what he could probably get on the open market. The team won 7 more games than last year, setting a franchise record in the process.
The Hornets won 15 more games than last season. Cho made a nice move to get Batum, and another nice move to land Courtney Lee at the deadline. A 15-win improvement is difficult to overlook.
