Well, if you're a GS fan you're just hoping that your team takes care of business at home in game 5 and that the Blazers extend the series with the Clippers. That will buy them some time, though you're still most likely to play the next series against Portland or LA without Curry most of the series. I think sans Curry they could still beat either of those teams, but it'd be tough.

That's a real bummer. How much time is he likely to miss?

From what I just read it takes 4-6 weeks.  He might be done.  That's awful.  Really wanted to see them healthy throughout the playoffs.

Huge bummer. Opens this whole thing up tho. Especially with Cleveland looking mortal.

Guys usually seem to miss about 3 weeks, although it depends on the severity.

It'll be nice to see Timmy ride off into the sunset with another title. The dichotomy between Duncan and Kobe's farewell seasons would be striking. As a basketball fan, this news about Curry is downright depressing.

I mean, I still take San Antonio in a series against the Cavs, especially if they play a Golden State team without Curry or a Los Angeles Clippers.

And I still think the Cavs will have trouble with either Miami or Toronto if they face them in the Conference Finals, that is if they luck out and get by us first  ;)

Because my bandwagon friend used an injury to indirectly diss me last week
"I'm sorry to hear about Avery Bradley"

I just texted him back
"I'm sorry to hear about Steph Curry"

It sucks. I was rooting for golden state to break the record this season too, their magical season doesn't deserve to end like this.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

No chance GSW repeat

Whoever they face next round will beat them

Looks like the Clippers will finally get past the 2nd round. That means I hope the Spurs beat OKC so (1) Durant bolts for eastern conference team and (2) the Spurs clean up the Clippers in West Finals and (3) the Spurs crush the Cavaliers in the finals again.

I don't like this for the sport of basketball, it's a bummer. But then again, so was 1973 for the Celtics, right? Also, bummer that the all-time regular season and all the records set and the special superstars thwarted in the postseason, all nullified, hollowed out...like the Patriots about 8 years ago. Bleep happens to destinies. Inevitabilities are liable to get disabled by twists of fate.

This opens the playoffs to every team, including ours. I'd prefer to end the season on the shortlist of greatest upsets in sports history by beating the Warriors, but I'll settle for any championship. Atlanta is beatable. Cleveland is beatable. San Antonio is beatable. Golden State even with full health weren't completely unbeatable, as Ainge reminded us mid-season. Our ship might be coming in, arriving a little early,

I wouldn't be so sure about that yet. The Clips first have to get past Portland, which they probably will, but I don't think it's an automatic given that they beat the Warriors without Curry. Paul is a choker, remember.
