I don't remember who he finished it over but it was amazing, sliced through 2 defenders and tied the game. Big time.

I think I saw a stat that he's the leading scorer in the playoffs...regardless what happens the rest of this series he's shown he's someone that can produce in the playoffs. That's huge for us this summer.

Said it before: IT is the foundation and the face of this franchise, and he is a star.

The people who want to trade him on this board are off-base. It's not happening.

I think Durant and Isaiah will share that role. Seems like Isaiah's game would complement Durant better than Westbrook. I base that on absolutely nothing though.

Possibly, but I really don't think Durant leaves OKC.

If he would come to Boston, I have no doubt whatsoever that his game would mesh with Thomas. The floor spacing alone would make the two of them a very dangerous scoring combination, especially if you can run the little guy at the 2 and let someone else initiate the offense.

Man I can't even imagine how good Isaiah would be with another actual scoring threat on the team.

Great words from a great man

That includes many in the media.  They don't get how good this guy really is, but maybe now that will change.  The fans as a whole haven't grasped it for much of the season and the reason I say that is if you go to the games, at least till recently, you see very few IT jerseys.  I assume that is in the process of changing as well.

You'd hope.

He is the marquee player on this team, a role he has more than earned, and you see that in the respect he garners from the Hondos, Russells, Tommys of the world.

The people hung up on his size are just wrong. Period.

Yeah, he is quickly turning heads and proving that last year's run after the Cs acquired him was not a fluke.

Rondo was seen as a facilitator who didn't screw things up in the championship season, but elevated himself to elite level the next year when KG went down. Many people still need to get over the height issue; Iverson did it, and IT should be able to do the same.

Note: I am not trying to say IT is as good as Iverson, just saying that it can be done with shorter, elite scorers.

Greatness, to me, is defined by consistency. Can you do it most every night? Do you take nights off? Do you take plays off? Do you disregard key parts of your game? Are you a positive or a negative influence on your team, on the floor and in the lockeroom?

If the answer is no to very many of the above, you are not a great player. Period. I am not impressed by players who just show up for the playoffs.

Greatness, to me, is not defined by a collection of playoff games. You have 82 games and then the playoffs to show me.

That play was one of the most anti-climactic of the night. The Cs were up by four with a chance to put it out of reach and then Teague isos and hits two threes - totally deflating. Then right out of the time-out, IT waltzes through the lane for an easy lay-in. I was like, 'that's all it took?' The rest is history with regards to this game, but I was very happy the Hawks made it so easy on us with that play.
