Much as I like him, I am getting really, really, really, really tired of saying "I think he has the potential to develop a jumpshot one day" about seemingly every single guy we bring to Boston.

My goodness, isn't that the truth.

This is a make-miss league, as they say, and the three pointer is more important than ever.

So can we stop acquiring guys with suspect jumpers and no clear NBA position and prioritize size and shooting for once?

Obviously, Ainge has had a lot of success building up this team by going for guys who are devalued because of their size, poor shooting, or both, but you can't build an entire team that way if you don't like getting curb stomped in the playoffs, where, surprise, size (at all positions, not talking about traditional big men here) and shooting matter a great deal.
Best post so far. The only counter to your stance is that scoring at the rim is just as important as shooting. Brown could be pretty special at this.

Maybe we draft Brown but sign some free agents who are shooters.

If he's the best player available, then you take him shooting problems or not.

agreed. and as was posted above, perhaps the shooting woes for the celtics might be corrected by free agency or a trade. the celtics dont have to solve all their problems through the draft this year.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Our 3 point shooting isn't that bad.  Take Bradley, KO, and a not 100% Crowder out of the equation sure then it becomes bad, but that would happen with many teams.  I get the undersized part but with the cards Ainge has been dealt with mostly lower draft picks up to this point he has done well.  We are just getting going with good assets and cap space so let's see what happens.

Dominique?

Are you for serious?  Dominque Wilkins is a legendary player.
And in college he was averaging 23+ ppg as a sophmore.

Jaylen Brown averaged 14.6 ppg and has yet to show that he can shoot the rock.

No comparison.
Are we getting Kedrick Brown or the next Gerald Green?  Even if its the latter, that's not worth a top 3 pick.
