Rozier had a good game tonight in a tough loss. 12 points 4-7 shooting 2-3 3pt.

He's earned Avery's minutes and could be a silver lining were the Celtics to lose this series in 5 games or less.

Rozier really does look like a nice prospect out there. He doesn't make many mistakes. He needs to be given the green light by Brad Stevens to take shots. He looks like he deserves to be on the floor of a playoff game.

Rozier has the potential to be our most well rounded guard. He's shown he can shoot, penetrate and defend.

Also his quickness stands out even in that Playoffs when everyone is playing their hardest.

He looks like a level headed kid.

I am really starting to like Rozier. I still think Smart will get around his struggles offensively, but if Danny decides to go another route, and ship Smart off in a package with picks for a star, I'd gladly be on board with Rozier as the long term solution at PG after age starts catching up to IT.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I would have started Rozier instead of Smart, so that the entire rotation doesn't have to change.
Plus Rozier is a better shooter than Smart.

Smart is by far my favorite player and I think we'd be doing a great disservice by trading him for anything less than a bonified star, but Rozier's presence does ease my hesitance to trade him.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I'd trade Smart and picks for Butler or Love.

I could go along with that, what picks?

This is what we were saying all season about playing the kids. You have to give these kids a chance to play. Remember Kobe Bryant's first playoffs against Utah he shot multiple air balls at the end of the game.

This did not DQ him as an eventual superstar all of famer. You have to let the kids play.

Stevens did not give these kids a chance, even when we won games handily he only gave them spotty minutes. Now that we need them, we are concerned about the lack of game experience.

i watched rozier play many times in maine this year. he is good at almost everything, elite athleticism, great handle, can create his shot, good court vision, excellent defense. if he improves his 3-point shooting he could be a star.

watching him impose his will physically last night shows these talents COULD translate to the NBA. with some polish he could be great - and he is a gamer. just look at how he competed after being thrown into the fire. pretty impressive.

the future is bright.

Since you've watched him more, do you think his 39% FG in maine was a result of his mediocre 3 pt %, or does he take bad shots sometimes too?

I don't think it's in any way a stretch to think that Rozier could be a Jrue Holiday level player. So good at every aspect of point guard play that he's elite. Hate to say it but think I agree with the start Rozier to preserve the rotation sentiment.

Isaiah and Smart haven't quite figured out how to maximize each other's talents when they're on the floor together. Just kind of anecdotal, but I feel like there have been a bunch of times this year where I've seen Smart call for the ball behind the 3 point line only to have Isaiah drive the lane almost to make a point. Not sure who's at fault between them, but do feel that Rozier is a lot more natural than Smart in creating shots off the ball.
