Came out today. Pretty good selections for us:

3. (Assumes that's where we would land)  Dragen Bender
16. Marquese Chriss
23. Jonathan Jeanne

All three are high upside, big, young, and athletic.  I felt the Jeanne pick was interesting especially.

See link below.

This mock draft is 100% my strategy for this draft (if we keep all picks).

Bet all in on potential all-star bigs. This position is the most inconsistent spot on the roster. I'm still a fan of easy buckets from the bigs, and right now we have none of that.

It's also interesting how the picks are so different from this one to Draftexpress and then to Chad Ford's. When you consider that there is so much average talent and not a lot of standouts it makes sense that the draft boards are so different.

I want at least one NBA ready guy. Not sure if any of these guys can bring immediate help
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Exactly. I dont see Bender as the answer for us. Kristaps Porzinigis doesnt come along every year. Boston needs a sure thing with the 3 or 4 pick. I would even choose Kris Dunn over Bender and move Smart. I like Chriss but I think there will be more solid players at that point.

Yep. These guys aren't gonna get PT. Look at Mickey. Half this board loves the kid and his potential or whatever (including me). But Brad is the coach, and he probably sees that Mickey isn't NBA ready yet. Neither Bender, Chriss, or Jeanne will be NBA ready either.

People need to look at this team and say "ok, we have some nice young pieces who could probably contribute in a few years, but not as much legit NBA talent". We need guys that will come in ready to contribute.

I'm not sure we need one this year. Rozier looks ready to step into rotation minutes next year, as does Hunter. Mickey is unknown but every time we see him he's been good so there must be something there. We can afford to go for broke in this draft I feel

Is Jeanne 100% in this draft?

This is a great outcome. Grab 3 guys who have a chance of being our answer in the front court long term.

Let Sully, Zeller and Holland walk, then trade Young. Replace those 4 spots with Bender, Chriss, Jared Dudley and Mozgov. That team is an upgrade from this year and if Chriss/Bender develop like they can they could be stars down the road.

If we can't trade for a star I want 2 rookies we can bring over right away then the rest of our picks should be draft and stash players. My favorite draft and stash guy is Jeanne.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think Bender can get rotation minutes right away. He isn't going to be an instant star a la Porzingis, but he seems like he can contribute on both ends against certain matchups.

Why is everyone falling in love with skinny guys. They get pushed around. We need thicker athletic guys. I would never draft a guy stand 7 feet tall that weighs 195 pounds. Thats a wasted pick.

My God, what a horrible draft this would be.

I would be calling for Ainge's job if this happened.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

That is the worst possible draft that could be imagine.
Point guards around 6' to 6'3" 175 to 210
Shooting guards 6'4' to 6'6" 205 to 220
Small forwards 6'7" to 6'8" 225 to 235
Power forwards 6'9" to 6'10" 230 to 245
Centers 6'10" and up   around 250 to 280

Those are prototypical sizes
