Hopefully this gets into the hands of KD.

Great article.  I really thought Thomas' long-term role would be a solid 6th man off the bench, but he's proven himself a legitimate all-star this season on a solid playoff team.   He's a ton of fun to watch.   He's a super easy guy to root for.

What?!!

That kid has won me over with his stop-and-go dribble moves, his amazing finishes at the rim, his confidence, his joy for the game, his talent, his passion, his over all awesomeness on the basketball court.

Now this.  On top of all that, he writes like this?

What?!!

As I understand it, Player's Tribune articles are ghost-written.  The writer(s) will work with the player to craft this story.

Not a knock at all though.  It's a very cool website that offers insight and personality that you just can't get from places like ESPN.  Really cool to read pieces that feature athletes that I personally like or am interested in.

TP to the original post!
Beautiful piece written by IT, and I can tell by the way he conducts himself and plays night in and night out it is 100% sincere.

I've been a Celtic fan my entire life, I am now a season ticket holder. I've lived in many different states and seen games in many arena's around the league. Basketball just feels different in Boston. We as fans respect and love the Celtics and the game. You can go to a game on any giving night and have a 2 hour conversation with the stranger next to you about basketball and the Celtics, intelligent conversations.. There is no other arena I've been to that has that.
We know the numbers in the rafters, we know what it takes to be a champion, but we also know and appreciate when a team or individual player is playing their tail off. I'm not sure if IT has what it takes to be a Celtics legend physically.. but he definitely already has the heart to be one.

It's been a great year to be a Celtics fan and i'll be sad when the season ends, however it may end.. but for now I'm just happy it's still happening and we all get to witness it.

That's an awesome read.

Boston has indeed one, if not the best fan base in sports. I wish I could experience it first hand.

Great article!!!!  We need IT to get on the recruiting trail now and get the one star we need to make us a legitimate title contending team.  DA has so many chips to use to enhance the rest of the team there is no way he can't sell this team as a title contender to a star player.  Get it done DA.

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

One of the better Player's Tribune articles I've read. I always liked IT, but the way he carried us with Jae out was when he really won me over. Hopefully someone shows this to KD.

The great thing is IT seems perfectly willing to blatantly pitch Boston to other players himself.  Haven't quite seen it done so overtly.

I had a feeling that IT felt something special towards the city and the organization. Just the way he reached out to free agents last year, after just being traded was telling.

Very seldom do we see an NBA player that can be called grateful. I think we have one in Boston.

TP for this article.
