Winslow was the NCAA tourney MVP.  Won a championship

Brown did not

Otherwise, comparable prospects on the surface.

I give the edge to Winslow.

I'm admittedly a Duke fan but I have a hard time believing Brown will be near the player Winslow could be.

Winslow has a very high basketball IQ and is considered mature beyond his years. He was a consistently dominant defender in college, to the point where he took over the NCAA tournament with his defense. That skill translated immediately to the NBA. He has a way to go on offense, but all the tools are there, particularly his ability to make good decisions and play under pressure. He seems to win everywhere he goes.

Brown has all the same physical tools but hasn't displayed the same intelligence and character yet.

Brown is a hard worker though.  Just like Winslow

They share some similarities for sure.

I don't know. I think Danny has his eyes on brown

Also Chris's , Murray, Sabonis prob 2 or 3 pgs

Brown is an inch taller, two inches longer, and a bit more explosive than Winslow. He's a less bad shooter (which is not saying much).

However, Winslow is better at everything else. He's a better passer, better feel for the game, a *much* better defender. Brown has been solid on D and there's no reason he can't be good in the NBA, but Winslow has DPOY potential, and that's where most of his value lies. Brown will never reach that level on defense, so there's way more pressure on him to be good offensively, and it makes his shooting woes more worrisome.

I still think Brown is in contention for the #3 pick, but I expected him to be a bit better than he was this season, and he's clearly a worse prospect than Winslow was.

Winslow reminds me of Smart. Does a little bit of everything well except being able to consistently knock down a shot.

Brown reminds me of Bradley coming out of Texas. You see things there but real raw.

Winslow had a much higher floor. He was a legit NBA contributor in college. Jaylen Brown isn't. Brown has much higher bust potential. Brown maybe has a slightly higher ceiling ... maybe ... but given the differences in their floors, I would go with Winslow over Brown.

Does watching Brown remind anyone of a bigger version of LaVine? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lavine didn't really have a J in college, did he?

I see similarities in explosiveness and athleticism. And Lavine had a great season for Minnesota this year, I could see brown using his explosiveness like how Lavine used it for the wolves this year. He could come in immediately and help us.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I didn't watch much of brown but as a duke fan winslow was a great player his one and only season at duke. Made all the big plays and played great D. I'll say from watching Cal in their only game in the tourny against Hawaii Brown did NOT show up at all. Is it fair to say that scared me off from him? Not really cause it was only one game but it just looked like he had no heart.

Winslow shot 42% from 3 as a college player on 3 attempts per game, i'm not sure how you can say Brown is a better shooter.

I've been surprised that Winslow has been such a poor pro shooter, he sure looked good at duke.
