If Charlotte wins tomorrow the Celtics will play Miami

Assuming Charlotte beats Orlando at home than we will play Miami.

If Miami beats us tomorrow than we will be the 6th seed and them the 3rd seed bc they have tie breaker over Atlanta. If we beat Miami tomorrow we are 4th seed and they will be 5th bc they have the tie breaker over Charlotte based on division record.

If we lose tomorrow and Charlotte loses tomorrow we will play at Atlanta as the 5th seed.

I totally forgot that Miami has the tiebreaker over Atlanta. It might be in our best interest to lose tomorrow, allowing us to match up against Miami, who we've owned this year, and avoiding Cleveland in the 2nd Round.

Getting home court advantage is the best chance at getting to the second round at all.  Gotta try to win tomorrow.

We just need to make sure to win tomorrow.  And if we do win and Atlanta wins (against Washington who will most likely be resting Wall and Beal and maybe others), then we'll have 4th.

If we do lose, then we need to hope that Charlotte wins as well and passes us in the standings, because then we'd still be playing the Heat in the 3/6 matchup, just without HCA. We'd also have the benefit of being on the opposite side of the bracket as Cleveland, so it wouldn't be without its benefits.

Why? We have been a pretty dependable team on the road this year. Wins at Cleveland, Oklahoma City, and Golden State just to name a few.

Winning some games on the road during the regular season is nice but playoffs are different. Rather not take that chance with so many younger players.

Miami can't finish any lower then the 5th seed as even if Charlotte wins they would be tied record wise and Miami owns the tie breaker.  The only way Charlotte moves up to 5th is if Boston loses and they win.
