I don't see why such a scenario is so unlikely. Is it any more unlikely than the player combos you listed all being available for the Celtics to pick from when their picks come around? I don't think so.

I don't think they will need an established star. Most of the a clippers success this year has been with Blake injured. I think all the draft picks and either Crowder or Smart and one other Nets pick could do it



 So what are we trading for Blake Griffin then?

 They are in win right now mode with Paul getting old, IF they trade him it will be for an established star, we can't offer that.

Don't think of it as trade it for Griffin. This idea is that we trade it for a Star. Any one specific option like Griffin is unlikely but Danny has lots of options and one of them will end up working. K Love, Butler, Okafor, Noel, Gallinari, Hayward, Cousins, Carmelo, etc. The point is we need to consolidate, not draft 5 guys for the depth chart and send 3 overseas.

 I'm all in for Okafor+Durant.
 Okafor is three more years cost controlled before we have to decide on the major payday, and I think he will be more coachable for Brad than Cousins, and may come a little cheaper in the trade.
