i was quite confused early in season watching rozier, he seemed to sort of crab walk up the court in spurts under pressure
maybe the game has slowed down now but he seems to bring the ball up with purpose and knows where he has got to get
he seems comfortable navigating the paint ,although he has been stripped a few times as he tries to split defence both times were mirror images
his getting over screens is improving and his rebounding is astounding not the the numbers per se but the speed he gets up and with that wingspan-elite
marcus is no slouch but rozier is a missile
i still get confused at roziers style even on defence maybe it his long arms

i thought tim frazier of red claws deserved a shot had a monster game against nets after being called up to pelicans 13 assists and three steals
he is averaging 17.9 pt 8 assists 5 rebounds 52% from 3 and he was right under our noses-
frazier is like the classic point guard had some time in portland but was waived came to celts camp one year

I'm confused too. Your post is all over the place. Do you like Rozier or not? You compliment him, but then you say Frazier "was right under our noses". Does that mean you would've wanted Frazier to take Rozier's minutes?

Rozier just changes speed in an odd way as he moves.  He stays close to the ground.  I have found him odd to watch at first too but it's effective because when he moves he is one of the quicker players you will see on a court.

Also very impressed with his rebounding.  If he can get comfortable going to the rim you can see how he can use that leaping ability more there.  He has a lot of potential.

i am warming to rozier but find him hard to judge as he is not your classic point guard and he is young
frazier has been putting in the time and have watched him many times with red vclaws-i thought he would have been an upgrade to pressy
i was just reporting on frazier as he is doing well
playing point guard in nba has to be the most difficult position with the most to learn
whats your opinion of rozier
is he a good playmaker
is he a good finisher
how good are his dribbling skills
bbiq
how does he stack up against marcus
i am definitely  confused but can see his elite attributes in his explosiveness

Yes I've noticed the crab dribbling or whatever as well and I think its a sign that he wasn't comfortable with his handles but he seems to be settling in the more he plays. He really needs to work on his ball handling in the off season though. Its one thing to be athletic(which he is)but if you can apply that athleticism with the ball in your hands you become that much more of a threat to the defense.

I am a fan of rozier.  I like his game so far as well.  He feels his way through it and makes some smart passes, and has real quickness off the dribble and the ability to put the defender to sleep.  He's also really active on rebounds and in passing lanes with those arms.  I think he is a smart player and a good shooter too. I don't see a ton of weakness to his game.   He's not a superstar but he can score in spots.  He has an oldschool in between game too.

The more I watch him the more I think he's a pg too. He's developing is all.  He's combo guard but I think he's more of a point.

Real good athleticism for a guard his size.  He plays under control.  He's not as big or athetic as smart but he's more wirey.  Still a physical defender though if he wants to be.

For what this team needs he's a fit too.  I wouldn't take frazier for him on this team.  He may get traded because he's going to deserve to play more imo, but I wouldn't trade him because of that.

tp's for everyone -i finally got it-the ability to see all the combinations and  be able to run the table,or like playing chess and thinking moves ahead and knowing what your opponent will do
like larry bird, pistol pete ,rubio, seth curry a gift beyound athleticism
avery has it on d,marcus has it on d ,isaiah has it in spades on offence-some acquire it some just have IT
seth curry doesn't just shoot ,he gets to hoop ,navigates the paint , he sets the table

I like him as an off guard as well where he can really take it to the basket on the swing of the ball and shoot it from 3.  Smart can do this too but Rozier just seems more natural at it how he elevates where Smart gets in the paint and loses his mojo sometimes.  He's more of a bull.  He also isn' shooting it that well. All our guards are shorter AB, Isaiah, Smart, Rozier all do different things.  I love them all. Turner is really the guy with size and Crowder.

He actually goes so hard on the glass that I worry about him hurting himself.  He's already been undercut a few times.

Love his effort and athleticism though.  His defense has made serious strides in the last few weeks as well... He was sold to us on draft night as a guy other guards didn't want to compete against in scrimmages, and it seems like he's beginning to live up to that billing.

Still has a lot to learn, and I hope he keeps improving.  He's been fun to watch over the last several games.

Rozier seems to have all the athletic tools to succeed in the NBA. He's fast, long, can jump high and changes direction quickly.

My issue is that he seems to struggle knowing which athletic talent to use when. He often tries to use his stop and go skills when he should simply blow by a defender. With him, I think his success will come down to whether he understands the mental aspect of the game.

On the second unit is seems like he has the ability to create shots (for himself and others) anytime he chooses but he is not aggressive enough to do this. Other times it seems like he has made up his mind to shoot before the possession and does so regardless of the circumstances. Once he figures out how to survey the defense and make decisions based on how he is being played he could be special.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

i used to tell my son at high level you do not have to exagerate but the nuances and sublty of changes will get you further
-never could understand anybody going up for kelly's fake
the timing of running plays or using screens,a quick change of direction and a shortened crossover-you don't have to break ankles it just takes a shift or getting your man to lean slightly and bang your gone
i can't wait to see how rozier plays down the stretch and next year this game will have really slowed down
is dunn better than rozier hes anothe guard i can relate too
can rozier get to oladipo level

My concern is that he is impressing fans with his aggressiveness and athleticism, but not with the kind of core skills that make a great point guard. He doesn't have a great handle, he isn't impressing people with a consistent command of the offense and clever passing like RJ Hunter, and he isn't a pure shooter. He makes some of the same types of athletic plays that Bradley and Smart do, but not as well.
