He's basically destroyed Curry in two games. Shut him down when guarding him. You couldn't play him better...and AB was still draining buckets on the other end.

It's natural to undervalue our players worth. But to give you an idea of how he's now viewed, therere were comments on forums last night saying the Cavs should trade Love for AB. I don't even think I'd do it at this point...

I'm not saying to trade him necessarily, unless it's for a superstar. In other words, his trade value has skyrocketed this season.

On a side note, DA should be Exec of the Year and AB better be all defensive first team.

He's far and away the best Curry defender I've seen. Not even Leonard, who is the best defender in the league, can cover Curry like Bradley because he can't move laterally as well as him.

I've been a Bradley defender on this board for years. He's not the best SG and no doubt there are weaknesses to his game. But he's better than most - how many others average 15 ppg, a TS of .537 and is an All-Star defender?
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

There seems to be an increase in fans wanting to trade stars for less glamorous role players over last 2-3 seasons. Perhaps due to all these advanced stats becoming more mainstream.

I wonder how many GMs share that viewpoint.

It's due to fit and usage of the traded star. Take the Cavs for instance, there is little doubt that trading away Love for Sullinger and Bradley wouldn't have given them a better chance vs GSW. Thompson, while a good rebounder, is horrible offensively and can't take advantage of Green when the Warriors go really small and play him at the 5. Sullinger has a much better offensive game, can spread the floor much better and can actually take advantage of deep post position inside. As for Bradley, no need to continue to talk about the outstanding job he does on Curry, but he provides the added benefit on not needing the ball and could excel playing off of James and Irving.

You'd be hard pressed to trash that contract now.

AB has definitely made strides this year. Before IT came to the fold, he was asked to do too much in our offense. Playing in a more natural role (19.7 USG%), he's increased his TS% and returned to being a lockdown defender. Most notable has been his improvement at the rim, where he's now shooting 71% (21% of FGA's), and I feel that most of this is due to increased aggressiveness in transition. Last year, he shot just 61% on fewer attempts (17% of FGA's).

I agree that Bradley is a very good player, but this...

It's natural to undervalue our players worth.

is a ridiculous claim, especially on this forum.

AB's worth has always been high in the league. But that is all due to his defensive reputation. I feel like his value is higher than most D and 3 guys in the league because his defense and defensive intensity is that much better. Teams know he can provide some offense, but they aren't going to pay him for his offense.

I personally feel AB excels in a team that plays excellent team defense. I don't know if he would make a normally non-defensive minded team much better defensively. He plays great on ball defense, but is not that great off the ball. He is also prone to defensive mistakes.

AB is a fantastic role player on a bargain contract. He'd been asked to play above his pay grade the last few years, but now that he is back in a role he's suited for he's really thriving as he nears his prime.

Kind of crazy how the Celtics have three really good players (Thomas, Bradley, Crowder) all on super bargain contracts. Ainge really deserves all the credit he gets.

His value hasn't changed at all:

- He was and still is a decent 3pt shooter and is a very good shooter off of screens/handoffs (thank you Ray Allen).

- He still struggles to create his own shot, and he is not a good ball-handler.

- He is a 6'2" shooting guard.

- He was and still is an elite defender.  He might be the best on-ball defender in the league.

Depending on who we draft, really, I think.   We could deal the pick, we may keep it.   I think we could move him for a big if we take Buddy H. in the draft.   I could Smart being moved for a big.  Overall, I like our guards though.   I hope we upgrade the frontcourt, some.  I know peeps think we will get Horford and that would help some.  But I am happy with Crowder at the three and don't know if we would need Barnes.

Yeah; I've always like AB, but as others have said, the holes in his game probably mean that he's never going to be someone you build around. So I'd be open to moving him or keeping him depending on how things play out over the next year. If he's needed to obtain a star I a trade, by all means trade him. We have Smart, likely at least another guard in the draft, plus Rozier, Hunter, and Young (not to mention the possibility of keeping Turner who can also play the 2).

But if we were to say sign KD, Bradley is the perfect type of role player to play on a contender as he even proved early in his career with the Big Three.
