There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY he goes first. Ingram and Simmons are the real prizes. GMs know when a player is really deserving of a top pick and when it's just a tournament boost. Buddy is great and could go as high as third, but he's not going #1
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Hield draft situation sort of reminds me of what happened with the "dwade" draft situation.  Wade should of been the #2 pick

Bigger size does not mean usually the better player

Triboy, remember when you said that Trey Burke was the next Chris Paul? Yeah, exactly. When you fall for a prospect, you fall hard!

Wade??? Wade is one of the best athletes of all time at the SG position.  The situation is a little bit different here.

This game is good example of the downside of Hield. He s having trouble creating for himself and dealing with pressure. The love for Buddy as a top 3 pick has gotten out of control hopefully this throws some cold water on that.

People see him knock down 3's in the pick and roll and think Steph Curry/Damian Lillard. He's more like a middle class Bradley Beal (who he is currently the same age as)

game is not over yet.  Hield likes these kind of situations
I'm just saying that because of his tournament, he has skyrocketed up boards in the minds of amateur GMS. If he can skyrocket up because of great games he can move down because of bad games.

That being said I think he has always been in 5-8 range and that he shouldn't move from that due to a good tournament. Players who skyrocket up the board due to a strong tournament often get picked too high.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I bet Hield refuses to workout pre draft with Jaylen Brown or Kris Dunn. Both guys who could make it very difficult on Hield on 3v3s.

I would had thought Hield would go down shooting but he can't take his man 1v1. Can't get his shot off. He's just standing and watching.

Oklahoma can't even execute drop offs.  Can't blame Hield on that

there is no off ball movement.   No picks/double picks

Give credit to Villanova. They are making their best Syracuse zone defense impression

Again with the push off. He couldn't even take number 15 off the dribble.

Triboy,

Exactly. Hield needs a ton of help to get open. It's only going to get tougher in the pros.

.

You keep saying the same thing. This is not a part of Hield's game

I hate to bring up Curry for comparisons purposes, but he can't either without assistance (picks set, surrounded by talented players)

You can see how bad Oklahoma is without Hield going off. And he can't do it every game

I don't think there's any way Hield goes number one, but I do like his chances to be the best player out of his draft class and become a star in the NBA.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Triboy,

Curry can get his shot off on anyone. He has an incredible handle and gets defenders off balanced easily. I'm wondering if you were joking about Curry? He's only the best player in a long time at creating his own shot.

Hield has now shown 4 times today that he has to push off to get space to shoot against good defenders.
