I have a strange feeling about tonight..Warriors seem prime for an upset tonight...a win tonight would do wonders for winning out the season. Which would help as I think the seedings are going to greatly affect this team. They really need home court.

I live out here and wanted to go to the game but the cheapest seats (nosebleeds) are like 130 and i am having a hard time justifying paying that for being a mile away from the action.

Are you nuts? It's the one Celtics game out of 82+ you'd get to see live, against maybe the best regular season team ever, where an upset would preserve the 86 Celtics' place in home record history?

These are fair points, but these seats I can probably see the game worse than I can from my home and between parking and getting some food its gonna be easily over 200. I didn't really plan on spending that for a regular season game. Every other year there games have tickets in the 40-80 dollar range, but with the record this year it has just become ridiculous.

If the ticket alone were 200, I'd still go. They'll probably lose, but if they won, the glory of being there in person would be well worth it. I guess it depends on whether you're broke, middle class, rich, etc. If you're broke, I could understand watching it from home. If you're not broke, then yeah, you're still nuts not to go. ;)

This season is a stepping stone.  I don't care what happens in the playoffs beyond how it impacts our momentum heading into the Summer.  I'd prefer we made it to the second round, because then it gives the appearance of a young team on the rise, but I don't think it really matters.  Either way, we're positioned very well for an offseason that might be spectacular.

There are many fans who have their eyes on the off season and wanting to see the squad DA can put together for next season. While the rebuild has been long and I am keen to see who comes to Boston, I will be very disappointed for this seasons team if they have a first round exit, even in 6 or 7 games. They have achieved so much as a team and individually in many cases, it would be great to see them perform at the top level over a series. This team will be 'disbanded' to some extent over the off season - I would love to see them progress a long way in the playoffs in green, since some wont be in a Celtics uniform next season.
Obviously, I'm rooting for them in the playoffs and want to see them overachieve.  I'm just saying that in the grand scheme of things, I don't really care what happens in the playoffs (as long as they stay healthy and aren't embarrassed).   When the team traded away KG and Pierce, I strapped in for the ol 3-5 year rebuild.   We're ahead of schedule.  We're coming up on 3 years this Summer.

When I say lots of fans are guilty (of looking more towards next season), I would include myself in that too at times. It is saying that you believe (realistically or not) that because the current squad is not a 'championship' team, I am really hanging out for one that is. Philly fans have nothing other than that to do. The current team should add excitement and, though they won't ever be compared to 'great' Celtics teams (unless they overachieve in a way even the most devoted fans don't expect) they deserve recognition. If all hands are on deck I expect them to get to the second round at least.

After no fireworks again this season, I really don't think this year has much meaning. Ive loved every minute but I won't be too disappointed.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
