Slow news day: Do Brook and Thad regret resigning?

I have thought about this a few times this season, but haven't made many posts about it. Both Lopez and Thad are in their prime, but over the course of the next few years they will enter the latter stages of their prime. Short of them somehow signing Durant, it seems hard to envision them being more than a lower level playoff team over the next few seasons. Obviously not getting a talented rookie (or having the chance to trade a top 5 pick for a veteran) to play alongside after this season also has to be pretty painful. Do people think those guys regret signing in Brooklyn for a seemingly hopeless situation?

I doubt it. Those two guys seem to be embracing their roles on that team.

I think for Brook, even if he regrets it now, he has to still see it as a smart decision.  With his injury history he's got to the take the money when it's offered.

As for Thad, he may end up regretting the decision.  If he were a free agent this summer he could probably get $15 million a year from somebody, easily.


As for the basketball situation, the Nets are in a dismal spot, but if they're willing to spend some money this summer they may very well be in the mix for one of the last playoffs spots in the East next year.  It's probably better for Thad than being on the Sixers, at least.

I don't think Thad is of the caliber that he gets to complain about situation.

I mean, why not?  He's a solid, consistent, productive player who's spent the majority of his career toiling for teams that had no chance of doing anything.  Underappreciated player, I'd say.

To my knowledge, he hasn't actually ever complained about his situation, despite that.
