Let's say you're a senior and likely to be the top pick in the draft and your agent says "I think I can steer you anywhere you want to play. It will take some doing but I think it can be done. I've worked really hard with Eli Manning's agent and John Elway and his old agent and I'm pretty sure I can get this done"

Where do you go with your general understanding of the NBA and geography?

I think I got

1 Boston
2 NYC
3 Brooklyn
4 Chicago
5 Minnesotta
6 Detroit
7 Philly
8 Denver
9 Milwaukee
10 Toronto
11 Orlando
12 Portland
13 Cleveland
14 Charlotte
15 LA Lakers
16 LA Clippers
17 Miami
18 Washington DC
19 Utah
20 Phoenix
21 Indiana
22 Hotlanta
23 OKC
24 This is right around the place I start thinking of an exit strategy like "Can you get me to maybe Lietuvos Rytas or a team in Rome?"

25 Memphis
26 San Antonio
27 Sacramento
28 Houston
29 Dallas
30 Golden State
31 New Orleans

Id like to stay close to home, so probably one of the NY teams. As a city, there is non other like it; a millionaires playground.
Other cities that come to mind are Boston, LA, NOLA; the types of city that have unique cultures to them.

All my agent got for me was a 10 day contract after being undrafted  :D

Id probably have San Antonio first, with the Heat, LA, Houston and Dallas next. Id have Portland, Denver, New York, Chicago, Toronto last. Sorry Boston, but I just cant stand the cold. I live in a tropical climate whose Heat Index is roughly at 41C right now. Ainge would really have to convince me to go to Boston.

1. Boston (I'm an LA guy and I love Boston. Appreciating the culture. Nuff said.)
2. Toronto (second favorite city after Boston)
3. Washington (got awesome friends in Baltimore)
4. Portland (closest to Seattle)
5. Golden State (I love San Francisco too, the only part of California I respect)
...
30. LA Lakers (I don't like their spoiled fans, bandwagon fans, the smog city, traffic, and expensive gas)

 8)

Honestly first I want to know if I can get playing time or start even. Then I think of other teammates, city, coaches and the front office history. If I can't get a fair shot at early minutes I want else where.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
