Does that make it much more palatable or Justifiable if the Spurs beat the Warrior's.

KD can feel much more content knowing they actually need him to win another title.

That's how I feel anyway. With that said I'll be rooting for the Warrior's so he comes to the Celtics!

I just really don't think that will happen. It is absolutely horrible for the league to add another top 5 player to a team that will most likely set the league record for wins and has already won a championship. Living in the Bay Area the Warriors are my most frequent viewing option, and honestly as great as they play, it is already hard to get excited about 50% of their games. How can you get excited about watching them beat the Suns, Nuggets, Kings and others by 20-30 points midway through the 3rd quarter? Watching McAdoo, Clarke and Speights try to stop a 25 point lead from going down to 18 points in the 4th quarter gets really really old. Now if they severely weaken one of the other few teams in the West that can currently give them a game (OKC) you are down to two other teams in the West you can actually tune in to see a competitive game. Why would Curry want to do that? Why would Durant?

I think the league is trying to do everything it can to stop the current super team model, because ultimately it is going to lead to contraction of teams.

I'd be STUNNED if Durant does anything other than sign a one year deal to stay in Oklahoma City in the off season. You can tell KD feels a special kinship with his teammates, especially Westbrook, who he has gone to war with all these years. Not only that, but i think Durant is the kind of rare competitive spirit who wants to beat the best, not join them.

I don't know bro, he will be 28 years old this September. His prime is an about three more years. He's been to the finals once and they got smoked.

On the positive side the Celtics recently saved one Kevin from never winning a ring Garnett, now it's time we save another younger Kevin and get him a ring, I feel confident we would win at least one ring with KD in Boston.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

KD deciding he wants to live and work in Oakland/SF is the only justification necessary.
