I don't think the Clippers/Warriors games are auto losses, and I think POR, CHA, and MIA are pretty easy.

ATL, TOR, LA, and GSW are the tough games, and we only have to steal half of them.

It looks like Jerebko is back tonight and Jae a week later.

I will predict Jae comes back against either the Clippers or the next game with Portland.

If we lose tonight against Orlando, then this thread could be over.

I agree with you we could beat the Clippers and that other than GS, we can win a lot of games. We were in a slump. Tonight and at Toronto should tell us if we have a good chance to pull it off.

People saying we'll be lucky to go 6-6, that's a lot of negativity. Okay, we will probably go 8-4 with 48 wins. I think the momentum is back in our favor. You lose some games and have a team slump. Then you break out of it. I think Jae's back in a week and we could definitely win the three seed.

So you've gone from 10-2 to 8-4

To "this thread over if they lose tonight"

What are you basing your astute analysis on?

Wishful thinking?

If Jae's playing and mostly healthy for the last 6-8 games, then they could do much better than that.  So long as Jae is out, the Celts are going to have to fight very hard for every win.

The Celtics had to adjust to Jae getting injured. Brad has resolved that. His injury has paved the way for Rozier. We now have our third pg.

Not every game will be difficult. If we go 8-4 or 10-2, then I look good. I was showing the path by which the C's can win 50. If I'm off by two games, then so be it.

No one knows what's going to happen. That was my point. But I did see that Brad has figured out how to approach the game without Crowder and I expect an easy win tonight and then the thread continues.

Predictions: Celtics always have that knack of losing to scrub teams, so there's a couple of L's there. That Lakers game for sure is going to be a loss because they like to play down to their level a lot, but I'm hoping for a win there.

Sure we could beat LAC, but just remember last time the Celtics beat them in OT who had no Blake Griffin. I would love to also see the Celtics as the first team in the NBA to give the Warriors their first home loss of the season!

Should drop two against Portland and Atlanta because they are pretty decent. I hope I'm wrong though! If we do indeed go 10-2, then I strongly agree that Brad Stevens is COTY and if Tyronn Lue somehow ends up winning then the NBA is indeed fixed.  ;D

Im leaning towards a win against LAL, because we already lost against them before. The guys will be looking for payback and the lakers dont want to fall off their spot else their pick goes to philly.

I started this thread a while back after this board predictably went negative. I am going back and forth on whether to stop posting. It's not that much fun. This board is full of people who continually move the goalposts. Up above one guy said they will probably go 6-6. Then when called on it, he says, if Jae is back soon, then there will be more wins.

This is not the first time I have made this point that too many have knee jerk reactions to every single game. I don't think they realize how they look. I am not even going to refer to the few who keep wanting us to tank or the one guy who is a very obvious troll, yet the mods never do anything about him. I am not naming names. I am explaining why I am quitting this forum.

I said we'd go 10-2 and close out at 50 wins. When I conceded we might go 8-4, someone above had to troll me.

So I'm finished at this blog. I thank Rollie, Evantime I think his name is, and Chambers was nice to me when I first started posting.

Mods, please don't delete this post. I didn't name anyone and I am now on my way to more peaceful environments.

I was correct. Many were flipping out the time I wrote this and that is why I wrote it.

I will not read anyone's new goalpost threads about the big win at Golden State. I look for consistency in people, not the types who say look at me and how smart I am at basketball. Because those people are rarely correct about anything.

On the other hand, the people I like who I did mention above are always humble and sincere. None of us can predict the future, but some of us are apparently more grounded in reality than others.

To anyone I didn't mention as people I like reading, I'm sorry to not have thanked you. I've never been good at remembering names. It is what it is. Good night, and good luck.

Why punt now?

If celts run the table - and win the next 6 games

You will be a hoop savant

Not only that, but it seems like an odd time to punt, given the C's just beat GS on their home court to break an amazing streak.  The team just got a huge psychological boost and looking like they can compete in the playoffs with anybody.  ANYBODY.
