Hold up, what is this thread based on?

I remember ppl at Reddit telling me off for defending Danny's choice of Rozier at draft night (and also for saying that if I had to choose, I'd take Biyombo over Koufos for the C's).

Finally, I feel vindicated  :P

I was scoffed at for making a thread this summer about how positive it was that Rozier signed a sneaker deal with Adidas when he was still buried in our depth chart. Felt it was a good sign of things to come that Adidas made a point to lock him up before he played an NBA minute when some folks just called it a non story.

Rozier is exactly where I was hoping he'd be on the development curve by this point. Was pretty excited for the pick when rumors started surfacing that TR was outperforming some of the more heralded draft prospects in workouts. IMO he's got Reggie Jackson to Eric Bledsoe style potential.

Speed, leaping ability, long arms, not a bad shooter either.
I really like this kid.

I do too.  He's got a chance to be a solid starting PG for 10+ years in the league.

I'd add BB IQ to your list. Great feel for the game. You can tell he really gets it and is beyond his years already out there on the court.  He could be really darn good down the road.

He will be better than smart -  in the long run

More pure PG - smart is nothing more then combo 3rd guard

Biggest difference is expectation based on draft position

When they made the pick I liked it too. My personal feeling was that he was going to be a lot like Oladipo (whom  I like very much)

That being said, the sneaker deal thing makes no sense. James Young has his own personal brand and its done nothing for him hahaha.

He is one of two explosive players on our team(Isaiah being the other)

Its a shame because AB has the physical explosion he just has such a bad handle he cant showcase it.

Reality.

OK, is this the reality where Rozier has played 20 minutes a game this year and put up nice stats for a rookie?

That would justify calling him really good, I'd think.

So where do I go to get back to my own timeline, guys?  Where's the wormhole?

i feel your pain. in another thread i posted how in his career rozier has played fewer minutes that james harden does in 5 games. this looks to be one more cb fan train express leaving the station.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Sure, let me scale back a bit I'm not saying he got the $500 million Derrick Rose deal but he did get the same deal as Kelly Oubre Jr. who mocked a lot higher (top 3 at certain points) and had an immediate role ready for him in Washington.

At the time I felt it showed that there was a faith in Rozier by some serious decision makers when a lot of the public perception was still claiming that we reached on him.

I'm not quite on the train yet but I'm definitely researching fair prices and will be ready to jump on if he starts string together some quality performances.  ;D

Sure, it is far too early to reach a verdict. But he has played enough to say he is not as bad as many expected - let alone being worse than JR Hunter (an almost universal claim in the summer).

We should rename the thread to Rozier fans get out of the closet  ;D
