Why is there no "Los Celtics"?

So with the NBA promoting the "Noches Enebea", how come the Celtics are not represented?

Not enough market for it?

Just weird since Utah and Milwaukee are represented and they don't seem like hotbeds for that gear.

If Boston's going to have a jersey in a foreign language, it should probably be Irish/Gaelic. I'm sure that few, if any, Bostonians speak either of those, but that's the city's primary ethnic heritage.

yeah, i remember. though i still do not understand why having the celtics name appear in LOTS of languages is in any way problematic. provincialism reigns supreme i suppose.

Meh Los Lakers, El Heat, Los Bulls or whatever...I always thought it's the big-named teams that get these kind of treatments, but it's really just promoting foreign language awareness and stuff like that.

The Celtics are the Celtics to me.

Tradition? The Celtics were pioneers in the movement to include African-Americans in the NBA game. The Celtics are rebels against ignorant traditions.

I don't see any harm in the team selling Los Celtics gear, or whatever.

If they haven't I'm sure there's some merchandising department profit analysis to do with it.
