Booker's a little bigger, Murray is a little quicker and better with the ball in his hands, better handle.

I think Murray has a higher Upside.

Remember booker was the fastest in some type of run. Agility?

Booker is the definition of true underrated athlete.   Like you think, he can't do that.  And then, wow did he just dunk it like that?  Or that was a quick dribble, stop and mini fadeaway pop

The thing with both of these fellas is, they still look to have some baby fat.  So they eventually build a pro body,  they could become even better

Murray is about 6'5 give or take. Certainly looks taller than Smart and about the size of Dwade?

It's just in addition to his nonstop motor and pretty good quickness,  he is built. wide body, shoulder, wide base.    Seen a few times crash into centers,  and finish through contact (some acrobatic style) even though he only has a 6'6 wingspan.  I was impressed.  And he did this in one occasion after he missed a few three pt shots and the team really needed a bucket.

7 3s. Look at those around screens, and shoot the 3 in one motion/off balance.  NBA level shot. And not alot of NBA players can even do this

So the knock I have seen on him is he's not very quick and that hurts him when trying to create for himself off the dribble and defending. To me he looks plenty quick driving closeouts so the hope is that his lack of quickness creating off the dribble has more to do with his handle than his quickness. Not sure what to make of his defense.

Jamal Murray = Carlos Delfino ??

Skilled well-rounded offensive player. Lacks the explosive quickness to be a go-to scorer. Strong shooter with good handle and passing skills. Solid defender and rebounder.

I think he's going to be much better than Delfino. The comparison I've see fro Murray that I like a lot is Brandon Roy.

Murray can be a go to scorer because of how crafty he is, imo. I always thought explosiveness was his weakness but after reading that he had 38 inch vertical I'm thinking that he might have the potential to eventually break people down off the dribble once his handle improves.

Watching him on tape you sure don't see the 38" vertical.  He gets good lift on his jump shot, but mostly plays at or below the rim attacking the basket.  Has a nice midrange game and floater in the lane in addition to the 3, and is a pretty good ball handler for a SG.  Athleticism and D will be the real questions about him, the skills are certainly there.

paul pierce has proved you don't have to be a super athlete to be a good player in this league

And we could very well see Murray become a Pierce type of guy more but SG version

just crafty out there on the court.  Knows what to do with the ball.  Once open not shy to let it fly and make the shot

my question is he better than Buddy? I think they are both worth looking into at #4/5

Pierce had 2.5 inches on Murray and is a lot heavier, I think it will be tougher for Murray to be crafty.

Not impossible by any means, but a bit tougher.
