Demarcus Cousins suspended 1 game by Kings (Conduct Detrimental)

I have read a lot of back and forth here regarding whether the Kings horrible management causes DMC to act the way he does or that DMC is just a dink and it doesn't matter that the Kings are incompetent.

I hate to say it but I think both cases are true. I think the Kings are a horridly run organization that will continue to be awful because crap runs downhill and the a Kings management is crap. But I also think Cousins might be one of the biggest asshats in the league and would be regardless of who he was playing for. Let's not forget, Cousins was no saint at Kentucky and had problems with his attitude long before coming to the Kings.

Honestly, they deserve each other. A terribly run franchise with a spoiled, entitled, immature jerk of a star as their franchise player.

Smart , Crowder and Boogie would be interesting trio ...if they would mesh

Cousins seems to get frustrated with guys who just don't care.

Rondo has a challenging personality, but he is a competitor, he's a hard worker, and he hates to lose.  So far there's been no sign of he and Cousins having any issues.

I think Cousins would love playing with guys like Smart and Crowder - guys who are similarly passionate and competitive.  I think he'd embrace that in a huge way.

I tend to agree .....Cousins doesn't like weakness .....I'm not a psychologist ......but I d guess guys like Smart and Crowder would really keep his motor spinning hard. 

I do believe he would UP his defensive play......he would not want to be the SLACK cog in the system.

He works hard ....IF he believes the rest of the team is giving the effort.

I think maybe .....if Boogie THINkS he is with a group of guys that can win a title and care as much as he does he might do better.

Besides Durrant or Davis .....Boogie is probably the next best shot at putting a title winning team on the court.

Didn't KG's Wolves get to the Western finals once? The Kings have never come close to that during Cousins' time there.

And my guess is that most of us here on CB, were we to be in Cousins' position, would have a difficult time keeping our composure. He's seeing his best years of professional basketball flushed down the toilet.

Surely Boogie is a defensive upgrade over Zeller ? ...Right?

Plus .......Celtics play good defense already . 

Boogie would provide that inside offense that is all but non existent right now .  LeBron hates playing against big physical dudes like Boogie ...

We really need the offense he could provide.

IMO Cousins doesn't respect the organization he works for, and represents. There are few former Kings' players, old timers, present or past that have Cousins respect. The organization has never shown they can all get on the same page, and build a winner, never mind a champion. He acts like a spoiled child because his (parent) organization is lacking. At this point he has no one in the Kings organization to shame him.

If DeMarcus Cousins were traded to the Lakers, San Antonio, Miami, and yes...the Celtics, he would be presented with the opportunity to view multiple banners, meet the legends daily that contributed to those banners, and hopefully would mentor him into acting like a champion. 

The fact is DeMarcus needs to get out of Sacramento before he looks up and he's Derrick Coleman.

You're right...add a hard working, reliable, and stable Demarcus to the Celtics, and the results would
be huge. A stretch 5 that can hit the 3, score in the paint, protect the rim, pass the ball, defend etc.

Even KG had better talent around him.  I really like Cousins but he's also no KG (IMO the best PF ever).

Really agreed on the last part.  I would say more importantly than "most of us", I would be very interested to see how Smart or Crowder would be doing in Cousins shoes.   I think Cousins has a more selfish edge to his fire that he plays with (and less defensive minded) but he is similar in temperament to those two.   I remember when Crowder first came to the Celtics and the team was still really poor he talked about not being able to take that kind of losing and how it was really bothering him.  Imagine him in Sac losing for years.  And who knows what Smart would do.

Luckily for him, he's still young.  I'm certainly not one of these fans with the foolish idea that you can win alone and a player should waste his time like this.  I hope he gets out.  I would love him here but I would be happy to see him anywhere better as a fan of his game.

If Josh Smith was one of the best players in the NBA and dramatically improved his game every year, I might agree.

I don't think he's as good as you think he is.  He gets overrated because he has a high PPG and fits a physical archetype of what people think a center should look like.  Put him on a team with two other stars and I suspect he ends up looking less impressive than Kevin Love does in Cleveland.

If Kevin Love played defense as well as Cousins does, he'd be a monster.  But, unless the two other options include Curry, Lebron, and Durant, I don't see DMC as a third option.

Roy I was going to call you out in my first post predicting everything you would say but I like you to much, other than Cryousins I agree with you most the time.
