You just never know what to expect when you turn on a Celtic's game anymore. with the Grizzlies down three starters and only nine guys on the floor, who would have guessed this kind of start. but then they get their business together and win by 20!!!
Got to see more Mickey, 3 blocks in one minute 5 seconds!!!

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think games have a tendency to be ugly when the Grizzlies are involved.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I feel the same way too. The C's really only played well for 1 quarter (and even then, it was only a portion of that one quarter), when the Grizzlies self destructed after Chalmers went down. Despite shooting well in the 4th, they weren't playing inspired basketball. I believe there was one point in the middle of the 4th where they were just throwing up shots and turning the ball over. I think any decent team would have taken advantage of that and tried to steal the game - even this same Memphis team, if one of Conley, Z-Bo, or Gasol were active.

Despite what the players have been saying all year, this team does play down to the competition at times.

Poor performance considering all the Memphis injuries.  We only pulled away after they lost their last PG.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I think it's proof that Joerger is a very very good coach. They have been dealing with the 'next man up' philosophy more than any other team and have been just as good without Gasol - amazing.

Disappointing start to the game for sure, but was happy we came to play for half of the third quarter. We are still a young team and even though we don't know how to put a game away in the first half; at least we can play suffocating defense to demoralize a team in the 2nd.

Meh, seemed like a pretty solid 2nd-half win to me. Memphis turned the ball over a million times and we would've won by even more if it weren't for Vince Carter shooting the lights out from deep. It wasn't a spectacular win, just an easy, no-stress game against a battered, inferior team.

this team has developed a bad habit going back to last yr. that when they're shots aren't falling early they're desire to play D goes out the door.

I've also noticed this happens a lot of times because for whatever reason we insist on force feeding IT early on and so goes the lack of D if IT doesn't have it going right away.

It's not just the Celtics, but the whole league.  Lakers over GS, same depleted Memphis team beat Cleveland this week.

Haven't been able to see the game but it is good to know this team can turn things around. When I look at the NBA standings I always smile because I know so many fans of other teams who shouted their mouths off about good they were and how they would finish way ahead of Boston. I can live with ugly wins.
