Having preached patience with the build I am excited about seeing patience and an astute collecting of assets and talent come to fruition. I know we may still have assets beyond the next draft and free agency but I doubt if there will be a better time to use them. Assuming the Celtics continue to achieve at current levels and have a playoff run beyond the first round, Boston should be an attractive destination for players with a desire (which should be all of them) to win a Championship. I agree that to get one star you probably need to tie up at least two. With the current team, coach and approach to playing games, Boston should be desirable.

If nothing much happens there is a definite risk that your best assets (IT, Smart, Bradley and Crowder) begin to question where the organisation is heading. If they become frustrated and look elsewhere, teams will be happy to accommodate them.

I doubt this scenario happens but if you were one of those players, no big names come to Boston and a contending team makes overtures, you would be encouraged to listen.

Hopefully we can get someone this summer. I mean, we are trending the right way, have lots of assets to keep improving, the team is well run and no one seems unhappy here. The only problem, is there are just so many stars out there. It's all about the personal decisions of a few people.
