Could Lab be Rondo repeating itself again.
-Guy has a bad year and he is a bad fit for his college team. Danny trades up to 14-18 to get him. In the NBA Lab quickly rises to be a top 5 player at his position.

Lyles looked decent against us. Lab has the same skill set. Could the C's not also benefit from a more athletic good sized PF with range. I say trade up from Dallas pick and make sure you draft Lab like he did with Rondo.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I want Jaylen Brown. If he's available when we pick, we should NEVER pass on him.

In our system of moving the ball and playing tough defense, he fits perfectly, and could develop into one of the best all around guys in the NBA. Imagine having two Jae Crowder's, with the other one having the potential of being even better.

Don't pass on Brown, Danny!

SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons

Me too!

Oh and by the way...he's shooting 46% from three in his last 6 games...he's getting better...I'll take that!

Me three.
I still have doubts about his game and I think last year's draft was much stronger (Hezonja at 5, WCS at 6, Stanley Johnson at 8, Winslow at 10, I think I'd pick any of these guys ahead of Brown, at least with what we had seen last year...).
And I'd be willing to trade if we end up at 4 or 5... But if we do keep the pick, Brown is the best option. The comparison with Crowder makes sense to me. And Jae is clutch, maybe Jay can be, too!

Watching Brandon Ingram again tonight. Am I the only one that is worried that Ingram cant finish at the rim with any level of contact? Or am I seeing more than what is there?

I like the idea of Brown and Skal. I think they both have upside plus I think Skal fits a long term problem if he can get a little stronger. But in all honesty thats going to be a judgment call to figure out what has happened at UK that has caused such a downturn in his play.

I'm curious how Skal will perform for a coach that isn't a d*ck. He could turn out to be a good fit with CBS.

Hmm, interesting comparison. That'd certainly be cool
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Until he gets some muscle mass it is moot, he will be ineffective.   Now muscle with pro trainers is something a guy can add if he works at it.

I agree, but don't get me wrong I would pin the odds at 75% he is a bust 25% that he makes it in the NBA. He has alot going against him in terms of bust potential (lack of strength, poor college stats, and seems soft). With that said given his skill set and potential if he does make it in the NBA he can be special and is there for worth the risk. I wouldn't at all be upset to see the Cs trade up from #16 using minor assets to lock in Skal. It would be interesting to see how he develops after an exclusive year in the D-League.

I think people have overreacted to Skal's disappointing season. I never bought the hype that he could go #1 overall, but it's silly to me that he could drop out of the lottery in such a weak class. He still has great tools, and his per-40 stats haven't been THAT bad. 16 points, .532TS%, 3.8 blocks/40. Poor rebounding and assist numbers, but still I think if he has a decent workout he'd be worth a gamble for someone picking around #10.
