When I first joined this forum, one of the big questions was whether we'll ever find a good center.
My initial reaction //was why don't we go for the Obradovic solution?//. Some were shocked and explained that this kind of euro-basketball would never work in the NBA where size and strength matter more... Interesting to see how things have changed with the sudden rise of GSW.
Another key point I take from this article is that a small frontcourt often works best with a big backcourt in this kind of system. Indeed, Obradovic's starter PG and key player in Panathinaikos was Diamantidis who is 6'5'' (and has quite long arms too- Greek fans call him 'the octopus'

).
This makes me wonder if having IT playing PG will ever turn out to be a liability on our way to become a contender, but so far so good.
