Who's the biggest threat to the Cavs?

Assuming that Toronto and Boston are a lock at 2 and 3 respectively. What team poses the biggest threat to the Cavs in the 4th seed as a second round matchup? Miami? Atlanta? Pacers? Maybe even an unsuspecting Detroit team in the 8th seed?

If Bosh is healthy Miami has the talent to put a scare into them.

Ultimately I dont see anyone outside maybe Toronto pushing Cle past 6 games

Detroit or Indiana. Pistons got size and a lot of athleticism. Drummond is a problem. Jackson is a problem. Their team's defense is a problem. Indiana are the opposite. Play with speed rather than size. Paul George can negate LeBron. Monta Ellis can cause problems for rest of Cavs. Pacers would need big series from 2-3 others to get it done though.

I don't think Miami or Atlanta can beat Cleveland.

Definitely Chicago if Butler gets healthy. Last year they had a 2-1 lead on the cavs and were a Lebron buzzer away from being up 3-1.

Raptors and a fully Healthy Celtics in the East could make it ruff to get out.

Spurs and Warriors are flat out just better than old LeBron ......either will take down the Diva All Star team. 

LeBron needs injuries to SA and Warriors to help his cause.

If Miami is healthy they can be the best team in the East.

Dragic/Wade/Deng/Bosh/Whiteside with a bench of Johnson/Green/Winslow/Stoudemire is a really talented lineup that has veteran and championship experience.

I don't think they can all be 100% though.

Solid analysis as usual.

If we are talking of which team has more % of pushing the Cavs to a 6 games series, then it will be a healthy Miami. But Miami has no chance of winning this series.

Detroit and Indiana have a small yet greater chance than Atlanta or Miami, esp. if the Cavs continue with their bad locker room, messy coaching situation.

Per Indiana, I do not have anything to add to what Who wrote.

Per Detroit, surprise (=Tobias Harris) whose exact role is not clear yet, might work in their favour.

Moreover, Detroit has performed consistently throughout the season, stabilizing around .500 already at game 10.

First, you can't just assume that Cleveland will be the one seed anymore.  Second, the only real answer is injuries.  A fully (or basically fully) healthy Cavs team will walk into the Finals.

I think the Pistons might take them to 6 games.
I think their biggest threat in the East is Toronto with a healthy DeMare Carroll to guard Lebron.
The Cavs vs Raptors game the other night was a good preview for this. Lowry went off but DeRozan had his worst game of the season and the Raptors won.

The Raptors are one step above us but we could still take them to 7 games or even beat them in 6 if our 3 ball is dropping.

But yeah, I think the Cavs will have a very hard time stopping DeRozan and Lowry in the playoffs, and Caroll will basically do what he was signed to do: Guard Lebron to the death in the playoffs.

Ultimately the only team that is beating this Cavs squad are themselves.
They are just too talented and there's still a lot of time until the ECF.

I think it's Miami if anyone. They'd need to get Bosh back obviously, which might be unlikely, but with Bosh I think they're 4th best in the East. Also, I could see Spoelstra stymieing his former player Lebron--he's a great defensive coach and he knows how Lebron likes to play better than any coach in the league.

I think it's a bit presumptuous to think the Cavs are unlikely to finish 2nd in the East, just as they did last year.  They clearly have the mentality to coast for a few weeks.

No one is threatening the Cavs in the #3-8 slot. Maybe Miami, but doubtful. Maybe Boston, but doubtful again. The only team I see who can potentially knock off the Cavs in a series is the Raps.

However, I do think the Thunder, Spurs, and Warriors all beat the Cavs, and maybe the Clippers with Blake Griffin would as well.
