Honestly it's hard to pick which one would be the best snag for the celtics. Fall has the amazing size that every team wants, jeanne has the perimeter skills in a huge frame, and cornelie is an interesting mix of both.

TP great find on the article.

Thanks. The wild thing is that their listed heights (Fall 7-3, Jeanne 7-2, and Cornelie 7-0) is without shoes! So add about another 1 1/2 inches to them, since NBA players are listed with shoes.

Honestly the part about without shoes is what stuck out to me the most. If you are semi athectic and mobile at 7'3 to 7'5 that is absurd. Or having perimeter skills at 7'2 or 7'3 the potential is so high.

If we keep all our picks, I'd just pick them all, and see which one develops.  The odds that more than one of them is ever an effective NBA player isn't that high.

These players are gifted... Jeanne's attributes, youth, and his athleticism can make him special when he matures. He's worth the Dallas/Celtics 1st if he has a solid work ethic.

I didn't find anything on Fall and a couple of videos on Cornelie (in which he looked pretty good), if they have the work ethic, the C's should take a flier on selecting them in the 2nd round.

I'd also like to say that drafting foreign players (or even American players if they agree to it) with the understanding that they'll play in Spain seems like another good idea.  That league is legit.  We could ideally end up stashing a 7 footer and then putting them in a very competitive league with good scouting and coaching, then call them up in a couple years when we're doing well and need bodies.  We have the luxury of doing that and some of these guys look like decent projects.

There is concern about Qi's true age. Rumors he's really a few years older than listed. That hurts his upside.

If Cornelie has a "very narrow upper body" at 7'/200, what does that make Jeanne at 7'2/195?

Draft all three. Jeanne and Cornelie in the mid-late 1st round, Fall in the 2nd. One of them is bound to be a gem. Use every 2016 pick except the Nets 1st on draft-and-stashes.
I think there's a very realistic chance of this happening.

The cool thing about a plan to draft all three is that any other teams especially interested in Cornelie and/or Fall would probably relax and not feel a need to move ahead of us to get them once we drafted Jeanne. "Getting close, do we have to worry about Boston?" "No, they already took Jeanne" and then later "No way, they already took Jeanne and Cornelie", followed by "[dang], Daniel!", heh.

i think what is being referred to here (and i may be wrong) is the width of the shoulders, not over all weight. one can be thin and have wide shoulders. and one can be thin with narrow shoulders.

the significance is generally taken to be that a player with wider shoulders has the potential to put on more weight and bulk than someone with narrow shoulders. another sometimes bonus to wide shoulder is that a player's wingspan would be longer.

so, logically, jeanne could someday be bigger and stronger than cornelie.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Jonathan Jeanne is such a unique and exciting prospect. I can't think of an NBA comp for his physical tools: 7'2 with a 7'7 wingspan, ultra-skinny at <200lb, with the quicks to guard wings and even some bounce. He will never be able to guard Demarcus Cousins, but he could be a pretty awesome rim protector and PnR defender. Offensively I'm not sure how much upside he has - it's tough to see  him as a great PnR big, as guards will fight through his screens with ease, but his developing midrange jumper together with good hands to catch lobs gives hope that he'll fit in on that end.
