Michael Beasley is tearing up China any thoughts on him?

I say Beasley is the type of player we should take a flier on. very low risk/very high reward pick.

We could sign him to a bargain deal and he could at the least be a solid scorer for us off the bench. I know he's got a bunch of baggage, but sign him to a 2 year vet min deal (second year team option) and see how he does. what's the risk?

No way does Beasley sign a two year deal with the second year as a team option. Sells himself short if he does well in the first year.

One year deal. Reestablish a market for him going into free agency this summer.

Beasley is still young enough to be productive and obviously has the talent. His attitude looked much improved in his last run in Miami. Why don't teams want him though, including Miami? What's the deal with him?

I think teams will pursue him. I believe he went to China to make a big splash there and generate some buzz, rather than sign on somewhere in the NBA as a bench player.

Pulling for Beasley, but it's up to him to decide whether or not he wants to be the next Gerald Green redemption story or Delonte West cautionary tale.

Think he should go back up Durant on the Thunder. They've been friends since AAU and he might be a better scoring option off the bench than Dion Waiters.

I hope we do not sign Beasley, I thought we were trying to build a good locker room presence.

I wouldn't hate it if Danny offered Larry Sanders a contract and he accepted it.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Interesting options. Reggie Evans is the most likely, we're reported to be interested. He'd be nice. If not him, then it's baggage/rerun city, Larry Sanders, Michael Beasley, Greg Oden. Or maybe just the best young D-League free agent available, who would be...?

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I wonder if Brad could run a reclaimation project with Beasley ala Evan Turner.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Interesting that Mark Stein just tweeted Maccabi Tel Aviv tried to sign Beasley but was told he's NBA-bound once China's season ends

What about Ray Allen as a guy who can provide some much needed shooting off the bench?

That's what I thought. A big name, a shooting threat that will keep the floor spread. A veteran with playoff and championship experience. A guy who everybody will look up to, and who will give a great example of how to be a professional. Guys like Young and Hunter can learn a thing or two from an all time great.

I know I'm the biggest Ray Allen fan there is, just let me be ;)

I'd go with a D-Leaguer on a 10 day contract, just to get them in as an extended tryout.  Here's a link to the top 25 prospects:  http://dleague.nba.com/prospect-watch/

Kilpatrick, Roberts Jr., and Putney sound interesting.  Never know who the next Covington or Whiteside will be.

That would be a coup.
Larry has his issues but by all accounts is a good, thoughtful kid.
I think he'd blend well with the team and culture.
Naysayers and pot demonizers have at it...
