I mean, Smart deff could've found IT there for an open shot, but the kid had played great tonight, and if he takes a couple steps in for a three right on the line he could've made it.
Marcus had been CLEARLY developing a vast array of offensive skills. What Marcus needs to do is continue doing the things he does well (setting screens, getting steals, forcing bad shots, taking charges, etc) while also developing his offensive skill-set so he can be a major piece going forward.
He showed that tonight, and on many a night recently. His progress offensively is pretty dang good, and although the last shot was pretty bad, you can't take away how important the past 15-20 games has been towards his development. Just about everything is improving, his handles, his shot, his passing/court vision, his defense (already elite) is all improving.
