I really thought Lee would show more game.  I still think he has the ability to put up numbers and we shouldn't be shocked if he starts averaging decent stats on a losing team, but he clearly was a poor fit in this system.

I think you expected too much.  I was simply hoping for an upgrade on Gerald Wallace.

I wonder why they just waived him, instead of negotiating a buy-out? Is this a way to win the good will of future veterans?

As was I, and he disappointed in that regard. I'd much rather have Wallace.

It doesn't speak well of Brad Stevens that he was able to get so little out of our best player.   ;)

Buying someone out necessitates that you waive them. Formally, it's a waiver where the player agrees to accept some amount less than what they're contractually owed.

I understand that. But that would mean that the buy-out happened and hasnt yet been announced. After all, one can be waived without a buy-out....

I thought he was fine. Just got outplayed. Face it, KO looks like a great pick, Zeller is doing everything right, & Sully is finally playing his role, rebounding well, & staying away from the launching 3-ball circus.

He got beat out by these 3 bottom line. And maybe he's partly the reason all 3 have stepped their games up a level this season. Competition.

Not sure that is a fair assessment. He just doesn't have the motor to play defense. That was obvious from his first game. And, on offense you can't expect to change a player's game when he's been successful at it for a lifetime.
Most importantly he cheered the team on even when not playing. He's got a great heart. Wish more players had his positive attitude. I wish him well wherever he goes.

Put him on the 76ers and he would put up bigger offensive numbers than their current Power Forward.Still help maintain their place at the bottom of the standings.
