If they would trade Boogie, Sacramento wants a star back. The Clippers have a star that they're interested in trading, but they need proper compensation back in order to trade him. That's where we come in.

Boston In: Cousins, Gay

Sacramento In: Griffin, Stephenson, Rozier

Los Angeles In: Lee, Crowder, Collison, Sully, 2016 Brooklyn pick, 2016 Dallas Pick

Why Boston does it - Though we lose Crowder in the deal, we finally get our superstar and a replacement wing in Gay, who I'm higher on than most people here. We'd roll out the following lineup:
PG: IT, Smart
SG: Bradley, Turner
SF: Gay, JJ
PF: KO, Amir
C: Cousins, Zeller

We'd challenge Cleveland for best in the East with this lineup.

Why Sacramento does it - They finally divorce from Cousins, and they get a star back in return for him that actually fits better with their roster than Cousins. They have too many centers that they're trying to pass off for power forwards, and Griffin would form a similar duo to WCS as he did with DJ. Also, it gives them Rozier for their troubles in case Rondo bolts this summer. The question is would Vivek and Vlade think that they could convince Griffin to sign there long-term after next year. Given their track record and the fact that they're not the brightest front office in the league, I think they would take that chance.

Why Los Angeles does it - They look better going small without Griffin at the power forward position, and it ultimately looks like they're ready to move on from him. They're weak on the wings, which is why Crowder is essential to this deal. He'd plug in nicely for them at the starting three spot as a defensive-oriented wing who can still hit the three. Then, they could either play Pierce at the four like they've been doing or plug in Sully there, who would spread the floor just as much as Griffin did. You could also play Lee and/or Sully as a small-ball center when they decide to hack DJ. Collison would be the back-up, defense oriented guard to pair with Crawford off the bench, and, oh yeah, they'd get two picks for their troubles as well - the ultra-valuable Brooklyn pick and the mid-first round pick of Dallas.

What do you think? Is it enough for Los Angeles?

If no, what about this deal (http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zn48rlg) with just the Brooklyn pick going to Los Angeles? P.S. - Stephenson is a team option after this year, so we wouldn't have to pay him next year.

Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

He probably wouldn't, but it only matters whether or not Vlade and Vivek think they have a chance at retaining him. Knowing them, I think they'd convince themselves that they could do it.
