So looking at the West I can see Kings and Thunder being buyers. Buyers specifically for AB. It may be worth it for the right deal to move AB.

Trade 1
Thunder trade- Ibaka
Celtics trade- AB and Jerkbo

Thunder improve their backcourt D to match Warriors. AB does a lot of work off the ball on offense so would fit perfect with KD and Westbrook. Jerkbo is also a good rotation player as a active stretch 4 to spread things. Again a good fit. They also have a ton of $ committed and KD coming up for a mega contract. This trade helps reduce salary next year. Westbrook, AB, KD, Kanter, Adams, Morrow, Collison, and Payne become their top 8 rotation.

C's get a rim protector and maybe underutilized on offense player in Ibaka. Ibaka is also the best player in the deal as far as talent but has not came back from injury to reach past playing levels. C's can start IT, Smart, Crowder, Ibaka and Sully. With first 3 bench guys being KO, Turner and AJ.

Trade 2
Kings trade- Koufos and WCS
Celtics trade- KO and AB

Kings get and off the ball capable player and a defensive leader to pair with Rondo. Also KO added in is the perfect complement to the group.
They would have a much better starting five that fits outstandingly with Rondo, AB, Rudy, KO and Cousins. McLemore off the bench works great for where he is. Colins, Acy and Caspi round out the rotation

C's get their rim protector and up coming defensive star in WCS. They also get a very solid big in Koufos. With all the doubts about the current bigs being long term fits or even staying (as in Sully, AJ, Zeller, Lee) upgrading and solidifying the big guys seems like a JIC heady move. IT, Smart, Crowder, WCS, Sully, AJ, Turner, and Koufos becomes the 8 man rotation for C's.

What do you guys think about each fit?

No way that the Thunder do the first deal.  I like the second one a lot.  I'm not sure if the Kings are ready to give up on WCS yet, but they are definitely trying to make the playoffs and both KO and AB make sense for the them, so I can see the logic on their end.  I think a better deal might be WCS and McLemore for Bradley, KO, and our first rounder this year.  They probably don't want to give up Koufos in the deal since that leaves Cousins as the only guy who can play center for the Kings, and we have a lot of decent backup bigs anyway.  McLemore wants out of Sacramento, he wouldn't play if they got Bradley, and he has more upside and fits our roster better than Koufos.  I'd like to see what McLemore could do in a stable organization with a good coach, the talent is clearly there but he's been in an awful environment his whole career.

I can understand that point of view. I do think no matter what Thunder and Kings need some course of action. Thunder could really use AB and don't see C's wanting anyone outside of Westbrook, KD and Ibaka from that roster. Maybe Thunder can get a third team in that has someone C's like for Payne?

I think maybe AB and Zeller for Stein and McLemore.

I started a thread last night on this very subject.

I'm pretty punchy here from reading all the trade "rumors", tweets, etc in anticipation of Thursday. Given that, things are getting a little hazy in terms of what might be realistic and what might not. Given that built-in excuse:

The Kings want to make the playoffs this year.

Word is that the Kings, who are desperate to end a playoff drought spanning nine seasons and counting before moving into a new building next season, prefer immediate help in trade talks more than future picks.

If that's the case, would they go for a trade where they get AB and we get Stein and McLemore as a framework for a trade and picks be used to make whoever needs to be made happy, happy.?

That's a win now for them, and two nice potential starters/6th men for us.

It's a pretty simple trade that does work $$$-wise.

Would they do it?

If so, should we do it? As many on here have often stated, I strongly hesitate to break up our core players, given the current chemistry, but given the age of these guys, I'm tempted.

Do picks need to be included, and by whom?

No one responded to it,  and I didn't think it was that bad and idea so anybody who does respond to it will get a TP.

I'd be fine with that deal, I just think the Kings would insist on KO being part of the deal since he'd be a great fit with Cousins (at least offensively).  They are giving up the 6th pick in last year's draft so I think they'd be justified in asking for KO.
