Surprised I haven't seen a thread on this, (not sure if one is there) but just a sad moment for us all. We're all a part of the NBA family, and this affects us all. We're all brothers and sisters, and we lost a family member.
Perhaps this is the wrong place/time/platform to say this, but I'm hating the TMZ articles that are saying nothing other than, "cops claim the other car was speeding." First of all, I think the other driver has died and he/she doesn't need alleged/speculated blame to trample over his/her grave, and secondly, I hate to see such a definitive statement dominate the media without even an ounce of evidence or reasoning from whoever gave the statement. Not an ounce of degree either, we have no clue whether this car was allegedly traveling 1 mph over the speed limit or 10+ mph.
If the other driver was speeding this is obviously something I'd want to know, but a simple statement from the police saying "we believe this is what happened" and no reasoning or evidence whatsoever behind this conclusion, is somewhat of an insult. I mean, obviously something led you believe this, so why can't you share that with us?
Furthermore, apparently there was a dog on the driver's lap that could have induced/been a factor in the incident, and yet obviously speeding was a factor? Why?
