Just a fun/interesting idea with all the trade rumors flying around. We all know the Nets picks are going to be valuable (at the very least in 2016) but what if things changed for the better in Brooklyn.

Simple game: Make the Nets better this year, or later so that it directly affects the picks we own or could swap for.

I'll start:

Lopez, Bogdanovic, and Ellington or Larkin to Houston
Howard and Jennings to Brooklyn
Ty Lawson to Detroit.

Works in the trade machine and could benefit everyone. Houston gets something for Howard in Lopez who can create more offense with Harden. Brooklyn frees up $25+ million in cap over the next 1-2 years, cut Johnson and have two max slots available to pair with Young and RHJ. Detroit is a wash but Lawson seems like a minor upgrade for a team trying to get into the 7-8th playoff spot.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

If you don't think Billy King frequents other teams fan websites, looking for fantasy trades, and then calls up other GMs to see if they would take that trade, then you must not know of Billy King.

Play it cool. No more "Make Brooklyn better" trades.

I don't think any team wants a part of Ty Lawson, so Detroit says no

Well Billy King don't work there any more, so I don't think it matters.  And that trade makes them worse.

I heard that it was only a couple of injuries to Jack and RHJ that prevented them from being a borderline playoff team this year, so all they need to do is get those two back healthy next year and add a couple of mid level free agents and they will be cooking with gas, is this not the case?

Trade all their future picks for Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol.

Can't trade picks in back to back years, so in their brilliance, the Nets management will make every other year the right to swap picks ;-)

Prob something like Thad for Jennings.  And then Johnson for Eric Gordon and Asik.  Sign David Lee after his buyout.

who knows.
