He offered 4 picks for Winslow. I personally think other teams are this stupid to not take these deals.  Ainge really can offer David Lee and picks for whoever at this point. Our team is starting to roll.  We can keep our core and just add a player we really like.  I don't think I'm getting cocky in saying that either.  Ainge has been so exacting and fans are as well where there's a point where we should be nicer.  Maybe a team will be smart enough to take advantage of it.

  Add a player or 2 to our current roster and keep an extra pick or two down the road for insurance.  But some really bad teams could really rebuild their entire team with the picks we have if they are smart enough.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Dwight Howard is it. I just feel that way for some reason.  I wanted him a long time ago.  Ainge has called him every deadline too.  I think there is something else going on there  more than people think.

Dwight could really fit well here.  He's not blake griffin. He's not Anthony Davis or Cousins.Or Kevin Love.   But he's better than Horford I feel.  Get HOward and Gallinari or something like that.  Howard is a superstar.  Hayward.  I don't know.  I just feel like something should happen here.

If Dwight had a contract going until the 2018 offseason I'd be down. But he's gonna be a FA, so I'm hesitant. Although this is probably the main reason Houston is even considering trading him.

Horford's better than Howard at this point.  Horford is a far better scorer and can slide between the 4 and 5 for us.

I thought Ainge is in it for a rebuild...didn't he ship out anyone over 30? Acquiring Howard might be great, but the assets it would take to make this trade would decimate the team.

And, what a gamble he would be, e.g., he can opt out of his contract this summer, his extensive injury history, 30 years old, not always the happiest camper, offensively he can't shoot well past 5 feet from the hoop, likely would have to give up Nets picks which may help the team for the next 15 years.

It works for Houston too.  Daryl Morey could really have an opportunity to make his mark here and do a great job at it.  The asking price should be high but it should be in picks where he can really build that team.

It would have to be where Howard signs an extension here and wants to be a part of what we are doing. But I would give up a ton for him as far as picks.  I think they definately would get at least one of the  Brooklyn picks.  Which one I'm not sure. But I would try to make it work for both teams for sure.

Dwight is a gamble.  But maybe we are looking at this wrong. He could be our cam newton in a town that has Tom brady lol. 

Dwight to me is the basketball equivalent of Cam Newton  who's been beat up around the nba because of whatever.

I was just hearing Dwight is a post player.  We are more of a running team who relies on sharing the ball etc. I like Sully for this reason. But we need a center.  Howard is a superstar and a guy I would trade for.

We have to make a move somewhere. We have all these picks and we can't use them all without losing players.  Howard fits what we need. I don't care what any analyst on csn says either.

I think he would fit well because we lack a lowpost post player and defender and rebounder at the end of games when shots start clanking and we slow down. I dont care if he can't hit free throws either. He shoots 60 percent which is good enough to close games.  He would be a big upgrade over Sully who wasnt even in the game tonight at the end when he should have been.

For some reason I feel that too.  Not sure if it'll happen or not, but my gut feeling tells me there is serious interest on both ends.

Funnily enough I'm actually more keen now than I was then.

I always thought Dwight was a hell of a player, but his personality always turned me off to the point where I almost didn't care how good he was.

Since he's been in Houston he seems to have calmed down a lot and become a lot more modest and serious, and while he's no longer quite as dominant he's still a 14/12 guy and an elite defender.  With his improved personality, I actually don't mind the idea of trading for him now.
