Can Gallo and Crowder work as a starting SF/PF combo full time, basically attempting to copy GSW'S small ball/death line up of

Curry
Thompson
iggy
Barnes
Green...
with our version being. .

IT
Bradley
Crowder
gallo
Amir

Or does Crowder go to the bench as our super sub?
That small line up is what killed the Cavs in the finals with spacing, shooting and driving to the hole.

thoughts?
Yay or nay? Why?

Seems like an important issue if these Gallo rumors are true.

GSW just outscore everyone so much that the minor defensive mismatches that arise are less of a concern.

GSW seem to use the advantage of having an extra shooter/penetrator over using a bruising rebounder/defender at PF- their point differential is just enormous.

They have Bogut in certain match ups, but their line up of death is the small ball variant.

I wonder if this is what Danny sees with Gallo/Crowder?
Crowder can take the tougher defensive cover, but having them both on the three point line would be huge for our offense and how many shots Brad likes to put up.

My answer would be no.  The reason would be I don't think the league as a whole is playing those types of units as much as everyone would be led to believe.

I think our rebounding would take a major hit in this lineup.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

That isn't a reason it would not work, just an observation. The reason it may not work is you need Crowder to guard the best player on the other team, who is usually a wing. That puts Gallo guarding a big. (CBS terminology)

Right, but the original post, and I know I copied the second one, implied that GSW is playing their death line-up as much as a starting 5 plays which isn't true.  Or at least that is how it read to me.  A lot of posters on here also make positional suggestions as if teams are playing that type of line-up full time.  The truth is even GSW, a team know for playing small ball, only plays that line-up once or twice a game max.  They actually only used it for like 100 minutes all of last season.
