i posted numerous times his stats were skewed during his comeback from that injury, from his shot, to getting to hoop--
he was super clumsy, had no lift and his shooting was severly effected-
i seem to remember a good stretch- in dec/january  before he went down
the point is what would kelly have shot with that period edited out and what is kellys three point average if healthy
injury's are part of game but look what isaiahs injury did to a 90% free throw shooter short term , i believe smarts progression was hampered by his series of injuries
is there anybody that will prove or disprove  my theory that kelly maybe a much higher 3 point shooter than stats showed last year-
maybe edit out recovery period last year-
-without another injury,
what does kelly project to shoot this season from three
kelly seems quicker laterally and cutting off baseline
more agressive with his dunks
is it better lift, another year weight lifting, coming off bench, team canada, playing with jerebko, smart and turner or set rotations
i guess what i'm saying are we seeing growth brought about by being injury free or a progression of events
kelly may be just a really good shooter and last years stats not representative and this seasons shooting might not drop off that much-

Not only is that a fair assumption due to the injury, but also because he was visibly still trying to master doing all the right things when he was playing out there. I think it was Steve Pagliuca, but one of the owners anyway, had commented after his rookie year summer that watching KO drain 3's in the gym had been one of the things he had enjoyed most through the offseason.

KO also has worked hard to speed up his release (develop a 'hair' trigger, if you will), which undoubtedly has helped him. I think there's a decent chance that he's not the 50%+ 3pt shooter that we've seen in the last couple of weeks, but I wouldn't rule out him averaging 45% from now through the prime of his career.

Kelly is Canadian. He may speak English and our countries are very close geographically, but they are still different people with cultural differences.

I remember Kelly playing with the huge black eye. The kid is tough.

This is the new NBA where few players are lasting more than a year in college ball. The NBA has become more complex and harder to gauge.  It has become more of a crap shoot league. And it will perhaps get even more complex as the salary cap is about to take a huge jump.

Fab Melo. James Young. RJ Hunter. Olynyk. Even Marcus Smart is a raw player in terms of the NBA and on some levels the same kind of crap shoot as most new players coming into the league.

Kelly is a fun player to watch. I finally have the confidence to say that. Though he has shown sustained flashes since day one in the league. This is good news that Kelly is shooting well and playing well with confidence within a team oriented strategy. Kelly Olynyk is not the problem.
