Getting BG is highly unlikely but that wont stop me from making a thread...

Here's what my initial offer would be that keeps our core intact:

TO BOS: Griffin, Stephenson, Wilcox, Prigioni

TO LAC: Amir, Bradley, Jerebko, Turner, Olynyk, 2016 DAL 1st, 2017 right to swap, 2018 Brooklyn pick unprotected, 2016 PHI 2nd, plus two future 2nd round picks

Clips after trade:

CP3/Rivers/Turner
Redick/Bradley/Crawford (trade)
Mbah a Moute/Pierce/Turner/W.  Johnson
Pierce/Olynyk/Jerebko
DJ/Amir/Aldrich

Clips gain flexibility w/ Amir & Jerebko both having contracts with team options. This would allow them to easily go after a big free agent (KD?). They can let Turner expire or re-sign him. Add in Bradley, Olynyk, & the picks.

Doubt LAC says yes but its worth a shot...THOUGHTS???

Of course it's worth a shot. A couple issues I have, first Blake seems to be constantly injured. No doubt he's a top 15 player when healthy, and would really help the Celtics, but that should be a factor in inquiring about acquiring him. Secondly, don't buy into the narrative that the Clippers are better without him because they've gone 11-3 since his absence. ( Not saying you are, just talking in general) The Clippers played all but one of those games against sub .500 teams.

As far as your trade goes, I think if we threw in our pick this year too that'd help, but that is a lot of picks.

  • GOT IT!!!
With Ainge's and Doc's relationship I think something could get done without having to give up the farm. Blake's stock is down. The C's need a star to get the ball rolling. Can't afford to hang on to all these roleplayers forever.

If you make that same offer, but for Deandre.... Now we're talking..

Someone had posted about getting Carmelo and my response was players I'd never want to see in green.  It was Dwight howard, Carmelo Anthony, James harden but this made me realize I forgot someone!
No Blake griffin.  A pure punk, no matter how good he is

You do not trade the 17 switch picks at any cost.

You do not trade away a chance to draft Thon Maker..

I think I'd have a hard time getting over it if this trade went down. I know we need to trade quantity for quality, but we would pretty much be cashing in all of our chips for the injury-prone and [apparently] unstable Griffin. He is a very good player, but Bradley, KO, Amir, two likely high lottery picks, one mid-first, and first pick in the 2nd round seems a bit much...but again, I am just a homer.

Didn't even think about that...problem is I want us to keep the 2016 Brooklyn pick as well.

Don't think it'd be possible for us to get Griffin while keeping the 2016 BKYN 1st & 2017 (right to swap) picks--as well as IT4, Smart, & Crowder.

What about a trade involving Crowder and Amir.

It could be Crowder, Amir + 1 first round pick(not Nets)= Griffin

It could also be Crowder, Amir and Sullinger=Griffin

I know it will leave us with some problems the next 1,5 month and we will have problems on the small forward for the rest of the season, but I still see us as a rebuilding team, so I'm willing to risk this seasons playoff for a better chance to win a championship within the next few years.

When we draft Simmons in this years draft or we get Durant this summer, then the problem is solved!  ;) Do I think it's possible to get Durant - The chance would be much bigger with Griffin on the team, as we would then have a real superstar!

Do I think Clippers would do it? It depends if they are fed up with him after the latest trouble. I don't think they will get a better offer on him as the situation is now!

All I can say to these Blake Griffin trade ideas

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Everyone will call me crazy - but I don't like this guy anymore. Punching a lower paid, smaller, guy, repeatedly? Everyone has bad days. But that's not right. Doesn't deserve to wear the Green.

Not sold on Blake in Green...

I'd rather have Boogie - especially if we're going to give the trading partner the farm.

But do you think my tradeoffer is giving Clippers the farm?

I also prefer Cousins, but at the moment he is out of reach, and the only reason we might have a shot at Griffin is the trouble he is in.

I think it's really unacceptable what he just did, but I'm willing to give him a chance. I believe in forgiving and a man can change!

I see your point, but there are too many things that have to fall in place for us with your proposal.

We'd have to be "assured" of getting Simmons, and that's not in stone, yet.

We'd be giving up a candidate for Most Improved player in Crowder, and perhaps our team's Heart and Soul (along with IT).

We'd be giving up our best post defender in Amir.

And is Blake READY to be a leader?

Just my opinion, but too many questions for me...not enough answers.
