Most NBA guards are 'great athletes'; if by this we mean that they can run fast and for a sustained period of time.

As it stands, the quote does not have enough 'juice' to be worth discussing.

Guy's small in size, yet consistently draws contact and finishes against bigs.  And can score against just about anyone.  Yes, a great athlete - above average for the NBA - and a hell of a basketball player too.

Dude is probably not even 5'8" and can dunk. He's also disgustingly quick and his ability to stop/start on a dime is deadly.

If you're shorter than me and you score 20+ points a game in the NBA, you're a freaking incredible athlete.

Isaiah is an athletic outlier in the way that Yao Ming was a height outlier.


There's a huge amount of skill and guile (aka intelligence) to his game, too.  Don't mean to detract from that.

NBA is a tall man's league. A ahort man making it to the NBA is a great accomplishment, a short man excelling in the NBA is a monumental feat. IT is about to be selected into the All-tar game, therefore he is monumental hence great.

Haha.  Yeah, these things work better if the initial poster posits a viewpoint.

This statement doesn't seem that controversial.  Thomas is, indeed, a great athlete.  He's fast, agile, can leap, and has great coordination.
