The best part: People think AB's deal is a bargain, but Crowder gets paid less per year. Danny Ainge is a magician. He really is.
Well yeah, he also signed Mark Blount. You win some, you lose some. Most people prefer to remember just one side of this coin.

Wow, if you have to reach back 10 years to knock Danny, he is doing even better than I thought.
That's the first example that came to mind, and the most egregious. Ainge's player evaluation record, however, is far from impeccable.

He was too cap-strapped in the Pierce-Allen-Garnett era to make impactful bad signings, but plenty of his pickups didn't work out (Murphy, Pollard, J O'Neal, Marbury, Milicic to name a  few FAs, Telfair, Raef, and Green from trade acquisitions).

It was definitely annoying during the Big 3 years that Danny always seemed to err on the side of picking up veteran retreads instead of trying to find unappreciated role players who were still in their physical prime.  But that may have had something to do with the coach.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I think he sucks and is overpaid but then again all athletes are but that's a different topic. He should just shut up and play. If he was on a contending team he wouldn't get the minutes he gets here so his numbers would probably be cut in half and then he would be very overpaid lol. He's nothing but an average player who is short for his position getting minutes and the freedom to shoot when he wants on an average team.
