I can't see keeping him at 12 million. He's solid but to much money for me.

I can't see not keeping him.  Too much of a solid value for that contract.

Meh, no reason to keep him. Explore free-agency, if nothing is there try to work another 1 year deal with a non-guaranteed. If he doesn't bite, move on.

Tying up 12M of cap space without necessity is completely foolish.

Any replacement will cost just as much, if not more.  Plus his contract will be expiring and big enough to match in trade.

Amir at 12 mill or Jordan Mickey at one is no question to me. Especially with all the draft picks.

I take Amir at 12, easily.

For a ten percent upgrade?

Don't keep, don't cut.

Trade him to a cap strapped team who can make use of his non-guaranteed salary and take back a couple of 2nd round picks in the process.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

it's a steep deal for him but he was signed for double what he was worth on the current market for the purpose of getting that second year as non-guaranteed.   I'd be surprised if he's on the team next year even though I liked the signing.

I'm guessing he stays unless he is used in a trade for a front court upgrade. 12mill is a little high but he has been effective and a good fit.

My guess is DA uses Amir, Jonas and multiple non 2016 nets picks to upgrade the PF or Center position for next season

Guarantees July 3rd.  I think he probably stays around.  Gives the Celtics two days to talk to other free agents and see where they stand.  I'm hopeful that they're able to sign a big-time free agent, but I'm not optimistic.
